Nearly Half Of College Students Spent More Than Two Months In Finding Jobs.
A survey conducted by Hubei University of Technology and the Hubei Federation of trade unions on "recruitment difficulties and employment difficulties" showed that there was a shortage of workers in Hubei 88.2% units, while 42.1% of college students said they were not optimistic or not optimistic about their employment. 44.2% of the graduates found a job more than two months, and 70.4% of the students refused to stay in the local development.
According to the survey, the investigators visited 29 human resource markets in Wuhan, Huangshi and other places for 3 months, and conducted a thematic survey on 236 household units and 5 colleges and universities in the province and 355 job seekers.
Among the 236 units surveyed,
Textile and clothing
Food and beverage services and other industries are often short of labor, while manufacturing, wholesale and retail, and construction units are short of temporary jobs and temporary workers.
In previous years, enterprises were mainly lack of skilled workers, but 56.8% of the enterprises were currently short of general practitioners, followed by professional and technical personnel, accounting for 37%, and only 7% of managerial posts were unemployed.
In contrast, job seekers are still hard to find.
Of the 267 job seekers randomly selected, 27% of the job seekers wanted to be in managerial positions, and 25.5% chose general practitioners.
44.2% job seekers spent more than two months looking for jobs. 14.2% of job seekers spent more than 5 months looking for a job.
A questionnaire survey of 88 college students showed that 70.4% of the students did not want to stay in the province, hoping to go to Beijing, Shanghai or eastern developed areas.
Through the survey of human resources market, it is found that the dilemma of recruitment and employment is spreading in depth.
Not only textile, clothing, catering and other labor-intensive enterprises appeared "labor shortage", even biotechnology, medicine, energy and other technologies.
Capital intensive
The shortage of labor has also occurred in enterprises.
The number and scale of enterprises in Hubei have been expanding and employment increasing, but these enterprises are in urgent need of recruiting skilled workers or senior technicians who master skilled skills. "This is precisely what graduates do not have, and the development of their own ability is not enough, so it is difficult for them to adapt to the requirements of enterprise development.
The survey shows that 28% of enterprises believe that the high technical requirements and the difficulty in adapting personnel quality are important reasons for the lack of jobs.
Hubei's small and medium-sized enterprises, the most able to absorb human resources, lack of innovation ability, and 56.8% of their job demands are general practitioners.
These jobs are in the low end of the industry, repetitive labor, leaving the limited space for college students to develop.
"A large number of poor college students from rural areas have low employment quality, employment situation is very unstable, and the channels for upward mobility are getting narrower."
According to the survey, 35% of employees were employed to help them through their families or friends, and 26% of them employed jobs through public employment service providers. It was difficult for them to enter some good companies in the province, especially monopoly enterprises.
The report thinks that the reasons for the difference in this area are
industrial structure
It has a lot to do with it.
The traditional industries in Hubei are bigger than the others. The demand for manpower is not strong, the development of new and high technology industry is not enough, and the absorptive capacity of personnel is limited. Some competitive industries and private labor-intensive enterprises are the main employers of university students.
In addition, the disconnect between supply and demand of schools and enterprises is also an important reason for the difficulty of recruitment and employment.
In recent years, the professional homogenization of colleges and universities is serious, the market demand is nearly saturated, and the new professional structural adjustment has not been able to follow up in time.
