As an important part of China's outstanding women's wear designer's discovery plan implemented by the Hangzhou municipal Party committee and municipal government, the China International Women's costume designer Grand Prix, based on the "discovery plan", aims to find and train mature professional designers for the purpose. Every year, a group of excellent designers will be selected and sent to Europe's first class design school for one to two years of further education.

As in past years, the 6 designers who won the gold, silver and bronze medals will receive the full scholarship from the Hangzhou municipal government. The organizing committee will send them to foreign first-class design institutes for further studies according to their different characteristics and language proficiency.

For designers, this is also a good opportunity to enable these young designers to publicize their design concepts and design styles on the D2C free designer platform, and realize the integrated operation of design, promotion and sales to solve the capital and operation requirements of designers in the traditional market.
After 5 years of development, the China International Women's wear designer Grand Prix has created a training system for outstanding design talents: professional selection of high-quality talents, heavy investment in foreign training, and support for entrepreneurship after learning.
So far, the Hangzhou municipal government has selected 5 batches of 30 women's wear designers to study abroad through the China International Women's costume designer Grand Prix. Currently, 24 of them have returned to Hangzhou to become an important design force in the women's clothing industry.
