Since February this year, the Organizing Committee of the competition has been

China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing University of Technology School of art and design, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology - Raffles International College, Donghua University, Shanghai engineering and Technology Institute, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, China, etc.

Since the completion of the competition in March 20th, a total of 2021 entries have been collected. The participants are from 26 provinces and autonomous regions, including Hong Kong and Macao. They also received entries from overseas designers from Britain, France, the United States, Russia, Belgium, Romania, Korea and Indonesia.

In order to judge the awards fairly and professionally, the industry invited experts from the industry to form a jury: the president of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, Liu Yuanfeng, chairman of the jury, Hu Xun, vice president of the Department of clothing, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Lu Min, an associate professor of Tsinghua University, Liu Wei, China's top ten costume designer Liu Wei, and Huang Yongsheng, director of fashion design department of the Raffles College.

Judges review manuscripts

The theme of "the Changshu clothing City Cup", the fourth China leisure wear design elite Grand Prix, is "dazzle art".

China has four arts of Qin, chess, book and painting since ancient times. In recent years, there is more and more intersections between Chinese classical art and costume design. Chinese classical art has not been confined to a single corner, but it has begun to bloom new life in all kinds of modern culture and art forms. The Organizing Committee of the competition also put forward suggestions for the finalists: the garments must be made in strict accordance with the effect picture. If you change the design conception or fabric without authorization, you will lose points in the finals.

"Pluralism" has become the biggest bright spot

The highlight of this year's "Changshu clothing City Cup" China leisure wear design elite Grand Prix is its diversity.

"Pluralism" is reflected in all aspects.

In the process of review, there appeared more than one full time works. Many works aroused heated discussions and admiration from the judges. We can see that this competition has a higher level of contributions, and the creative design has increased.

The preliminary evaluation process lasted for three hours. In the three hours, 7 judges did not rest very much, and they had been involved in serious assessment work.

In the process of evaluation, the judges picked up their works carefully, sometimes heated arguments for a piece of work, and sometimes were stunning because of a wonderful idea.

The excellent creativity makes the 7 judges who are thirst for love forget the fatigue, and spend three hours in the surprise and harvest.

During the selection process, Mr. Liu Yuanfeng, the chairman of the jury and Mr. Dean of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, saw an excellent hand drawing in the distance. Then he walked around the crowd and hurried forward to pick up the work carefully, and appreciated the composition, structure, design and hand-painted skills.

Other judges also came forward, heated discussions and cast their valuable votes, thus producing the first best hand-painted effect award.

During the three hour review process, the judges focused on each piece of work until the last round of assessment, and they did not feel a bit tired.

Of course, some of the entries fail to fit in with the theme. Some imitate masters lack their own personalities. Some of them are wonderful in design but difficult to make clothes. The judges will shake their heads with regret. It can be seen that the judges not only focus on the effect map in the process of review, but take into account all the links of the whole contest, and judge with a holistic and forward-looking view.

During the final round of decision making, 7 professional judges warmly debated their works from their professional knowledge and perspectives. Finally, after a round of repeated voting, 28 finalists were finally settled.

It can be seen that the judges' attention and love for design talents are unshirkable for the discovery of excellent and potential design talents.

It is their professional quality and sense of responsibility that constantly improve the gold content and industry status of the "Changshu clothing City Cup" China leisure wear design elite Grand Prix.

Liu Yuanfeng, the chairman of the competition jury and President of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, evaluated the overall level of the competition after the initial evaluation.
