Barcelona BAU Art Academy Presents Graduation Design Show

The concept came from an advertisement about saving water. "Don't let the last drop of water change into tears." when I saw this sentence and related pictures, it shocked me deeply and stayed in my memory. I kept telling myself that I would interpret it with my favorite costume design and show it to everyone, so that everyone could know the beauty of the water.

This idea began to circle around me, trying to find out my unique concept to deduce it, and the conclusion is "the daughter of the sea".

It is one of Andersen's famous fairy tales. Every child has heard this story. I want to say that the tragedy of "sea daughter" has become an inevitable outcome. But we can also prevent tragedies from happening in another world which is more important than it is, that is, water.

After scientists have proved that water has memories, I want to preserve the beauty of mermaids with elements of water.

It is understood that at the age of 23, Yang Xinming was received by her parents when she was 11 years old, and her parents used to open a garment factory. At that time, her favorite thing was to find some bits of cloth in the factory to make some new clothes for her doll, and later she liked to paint. Until the second year of senior high school, she realized that her future university course should be her favorite dress design. For this reason, she gave up the ordinary university course that had won the scholarship, and decided to go to expensive art school.

At first, parents disagreed. They thought that girls could read good books and would be very good to work in the office after graduation.

In addition, the art academy is also a great expense for families.

But Yang Xinming did not give up, but through his tireless efforts, and finally with excellent examination results, let the parents agree to her request.

In the process of school learning, she is the most diligent one in her class. In her works, she always integrates some Chinese elements into it. Her unique design style is well received by the teacher. Her parents saw her achievements, from the initial opposition to the later full support.

This graduation show is a great success for Yang Xinming and has been recognized by her teachers. Because of her outstanding performance in the past 4 years, BAU school has offered her a scholarship to pursue further studies at Melbourne Art College in Australia.

After this summer vacation, she will go there to study for half a year.
