The export of finished leather exports is continuing to decline, with exports of nearly $402 million between July 2011 and May 2012, while exports in the same period last year were 4.23, down 4.93 percentage points.
Khurshid Ahmed, executive chairman of the Pakistan Leather Association, criticized Pakistan leather garment manufacturers and Exporters Association for the requirement to restrict the export of leather.
He said that at present, the quality of leather and leather in Pakistan can meet the requirements of leather clothing and leather manufacturing industry.
In addition, the government also has incentives and tax relief measures to import raw hide, leathers, wet blue and finished leather to ensure the supply of leather in China.
