French Clothing Sales Hit Bottom, Discount Activities Save Wreckage
Since 2008, sales of clothing in France have started to decline, reaching the lowest level since 1994 in April 2012. The discount season will help to offset the deterioration of clothing sales.
On July 20th, according to the preliminary data released by the French Fashion Institute on the same day, France had a discount for the first two weeks in summer.

Sales grew by 4% over the same period last year, down 6% from the same period last year.
Among them, the sales volume of Monoprix type Volkswagen supermarket increased by 10% to 15%, and the turnover of clothing brand chain stores such as H&M, Zara, Kiabi and other multi brand clothing stores increased by 0% to 5%. The data of large department stores were not disclosed.
The Institute said that this summer's discount began in June 27th and lasted for 5 weeks, and 45% of retailers expected sales to decline in the next few weeks.

Haines Morris (Hennes&MauritzAB, referred to as H&M) was founded in 1947 by Erling Persson in Sweden's Vsters city.

What is unusual is that H&M does not have a factory of its own. It maintains cooperation with more than 700 independent suppliers in Asia and Europe.
The old Haines Maurice store in Stora Gatan street, Sweden, is the world's first Haines Morris store.
H&M buys the cheapest cloth, and all OEM processing sites are in the cheapest areas of labor, such as China and Turkey.
In 1997, H&M issued a commitment to mark all the products in the production area.
