Adidas Sues Wumart Hypermarket Infringement
Adidas believes that the Beijing Wumart hypermarket sells its sports shoes products which are very similar to their own trademarks. They are suspected of infringing their trademark rights. They then sent the Yu Mei Bridge store in Beijing to the court.
Recently, the second middle court accepted the case.
Adidas limited claims that the company has obtained trademark registration such as "clover", "three oblique strips" and "three bars" in China. It has become a unique symbol for Adidas shoes, which covers shoes, football shoes and so on.
The company recently discovered that Yu Mei Bridge store in Beijing's Wumart store sells identical sports shoes that are identical or very similar to their own trademarks. They use "three bars" and "five bars" on the vamp, and use the "clover" behind the shoes and the logo "five leaf grass" which is very similar to the trademark.
Because the above sports shoes are neither made by their own company nor authorized by the company.
As a chain supermarket, Wuming knew that the above sneakers were maliciously copying their famous trademarks, but they still sold goods, which constituted infringement. Therefore, the prosecution demanded that the store stop the infringement, destroy the infringing products, publish the newspaper to eliminate the influence, compensate the economic loss 500 thousand yuan, and bear the cost of litigation.
Yesterday, the staff of Yu Mei Bridge store at Wumart mall said they still did not know the prosecution and said that there were Adidas stores and other shoe stores in the shop. They were not convenient to receive interviews before they received the notice from the headquarters.
The court will open the court to hear the case.
