    Footwear Industry In Jinjiang

    Faced with the factors such as EU anti-dumping, appreciation of RMB, shortage of labor and price rise of raw materials, how will China's footwear industry develop?

    As one of the main export footwear bases in the country, Jinjiang has developed towards a branding and high value-added direction through product mix adjustment, achieving a good momentum of export price rise, which is worth learning from the footwear industry.

    According to statistics, in 2007, a total of 478 million pairs of shoes exported from Jinjiang were tested and the value of goods was 1 billion 560 million US dollars, down 5.3% and 14.5% respectively over the same period last year.

    Although the export volume declined more, the average unit price of export footwear increased by 20% over 2006.

    Recently, news about the output of China's footwear products has reached 10 billion pairs. News from time to time has been reported to the press. Excessive output is pressure on the Chinese market and even the world market. It is becoming more urgent to explore new models for the development of the industry.

    After years of development, the footwear industry in Jinjiang has been greatly improved in terms of equipment level and management level. Some enterprises want to benefit from high value-added products, take the road of brand development, and then call the famous brand of China's footwear products in the international market.

    In July 2007, Anta sports, a leading domestic sports shoe enterprise, was successfully listed in Jinjiang, financing about HK $3 billion 168 million, setting the largest scale of China's local sports brand in the overseas capital market.

    At the same time, XTEP, 361 degrees, Jordan, del Hui and other Jinjiang shoe enterprises listing plan also set the schedule.

    On the 19 th of next month, -22, Jinjiang will hold the Tenth China (Jinjiang) International Footwear Expo.

    Up to now, 16 countries and regions such as Italy, the United States, Germany, Japan and Korea have signed up for the exhibition.

    Through the shoe fair, Jinjiang attracts more and more well-known shoe companies' attention and participation, and the brand aggregation effect is increasingly apparent.
