Mainly, and devoted to cloth research.
In February 1848, the French Revolution broke out, and the society was in turmoil. However, Voss was the most popular fashion designer of the Royal and aristocrats under the changeable political situation. His customers, besides the queen, the maid of honor, the wife of the high-ranking official, the famous European celebrities, were all proud of wearing fashion.
Voss was the first fashion designer to sell designs to clothing manufacturers in Europe. He was also the first fashion salon in the clothing industry and the first ancestor of fashion show. Before Voss, the fashion show was confined to static exhibitions, while Voss asked his wife to try them on and walk around one by one. This kind of model display with real human body clothes became the beginning of fashion model performance later.
However, his greatest achievement should be his contribution to the advancement of costumes. Although he was not regarded as the greatest fashion designer, his son was elected chairman of the French Fashion Association in 1885. He first launched the advanced fashion conference system. After his successor as the second president, Sun Tzu Jack was more committed to the promotion of the high fashion exhibition. Later it was expanded to the two systems of high fashion display and clothing display, and the two annual publication was held in Paris every year.
In the use of cloth, Voss was the inventor of the princess line fashion and the founder of the western style suit. He liked to dress the finely frilled, bow and lace on his shoulders, hang Royal gold ornaments and folding steel skirt skirts on his shoulders. His works were deeply influenced by Vilas Ki, Spain, and Belgian Van Dijk.
Voss passed away in Paris in March 1895. His shop went through three generations and was not closed until 1946. The store in London is still inherited from Voss, named Zeng Bo Jie.
