Arabia Businessmen Rooted In Yiwu Achieve The New "Silk Road"
Yiwu attracts a large number of Arabia businessmen to enter. A large number of Yiwu commodities enter the Middle East market through them, and the new "Silk Road" is forming.
Now, 200 thousand Middle East traders travel to Yiwu every year.
Mohamed Hassan has been in China for 4 years, and will soon become a doctoral student at Xiamen University.
Hassan came from Mauritania in Africa. When he studied at Xiamen University in the past few years, his classmates called him "Ha boss".
He registered a company in Hongkong, while being a student, he was engaged in foreign trade business and had an indissoluble bond with his obligations.
The work of "Ha boss" is like this: he left his contact information on the website of the Arabia state, so that businessmen from Arabia will find him. Hassan will investigate and contact several factories in China according to their needs, then pick up his customers at the airport, take them to pick factories, confirm orders, and then help them send their products back to China.
If you need to use your own warehouse, Hassan will receive a 5% Commission according to the paction volume, otherwise it will be 3%. If there is no paction, Hassan will charge 100 dollars a day.
Arabs like Hassan have twenty thousand or thirty thousand in Yiwu.
Some of them know Chinese, marry Chinese wives, settle in China, and some do not understand Chinese. They need to find Chinese plations and travel between their countries and China.
In Yiwu's small commodity market, a package of goods is "ready to go" and they will be sent to the Middle East countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The Arabs who advocate business practices have now locked their eyes on Yiwu.
The trade between China and the Arabia world began to rise in the Tang Dynasty.
In the Song Dynasty, the rise of the maritime Silk Road, China's ceramics,
silk
Paper and other handicraft products were shipped to Arabia countries along the maritime Silk Road.
Now, Yiwu attracts a large number of Arabia businessmen to enter. A large number of Yiwu commodities enter the Middle East market through them, and the new "Silk Road" is forming.
Statistics show that 200 thousand Middle East traders are now making a long journey to Yiwu every year.
Hassan was excited about his business: "they have a lot of money, and 80% of them buy back from China.
clothes
Computers, cell phones, everything. "
Hassan said that things in Europe are too expensive, and business minded Arabia businessmen choose to buy goods that are relatively cheap.
In addition to Yiwu, Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen, Ji'nan, Qingdao, Shijiazhuang, Baoding, these cities have been to Hassan.
He has visited factories throughout China.
Every year, he will go to Guangzhou to attend Canton Fair.
"Have you ever been cheated by Chinese businessmen?" when he heard the question, Hassan laughed. He told reporters that he had not come across this problem at present, because he mostly dealt with people directly in the factory. "But listen to others, the third party in the middle is not very good. It is one thing to talk to them about good samples, and the result is entirely another thing."
Hassan stressed, "Chinese people are generally very good, but some people will bully Arabs who do not understand Chinese."
According to Yiwu customs statistics, Yiwu's exports to the European Union grew slowly in the first half of this year, while exports to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia increased rapidly. The UAE and Saudi Arabia exported 110 million US dollars and 70 million US dollars respectively, up 39.2% and 1.3 times respectively from the same period last year.
For Yiwu's small commodity market, orders from Arabia countries are becoming more and more important.
"Although this year's big economic environment is not good, what industry should we look at?"
Miss Lu, a Yiwu Foreign Affairs Service Center, told the newspaper that Yiwu's flag production was taken as an example, although orders from Europe almost stopped, orders from Saudi Arabia have become the biggest protagonists in Yiwu's flag business.
Zhang Hong, chief of the Yiwu Foreign Affairs Service Center, told the newspaper that there are more than 800 enterprises in Arabia in Yiwu (73 of which are foreign invested enterprises, the other is joint ventures). These enterprises are of different sizes and are mainly engaged in hardware and daily necessities.
textile
And crafts.
"The market faced by these enterprises is not necessarily their own country, but also sold to countries such as South America."

Zhang Hong said that the key problem encountered by businessmen in Arabia in Yiwu's business activities is visa. In addition, there are still some problems, such as trade policy and communication difficulties, which are mainly caused by language barriers.
Language is not a problem for Hassan. He can communicate with Chinese well. The only thing to consider is visa.
Now he is a student visa. After he has graduated from a doctor, he has to register a company in Yiwu so that he can get his visa every year.
What Hassan most urgently needs now is to find a wife in China. "A Chinese wife, a registered company will be much more convenient."
While preserving their traditions, businessmen in Arabia are gradually integrating into the local community.
In Yiwu, Arabs run businesses usually employ Chinese staff, and more and more Arabia businessmen learn to speak Chinese. Some Arabs in Yiwu have been fluent in Chinese, and some even learn Yiwu dialect.
Many Arabia businessmen choose to stay in Yiwu for a long time. "Many of them have become friends with Yiwu locals. Some of the Arabia businessmen have settled down in Yiwu to get married and have children."
Zhang Hong said.
Hassan stays in China for ten months in a year.
He envied his fellow countrymen who stayed so long. Chinese was better than him. They also married Chinese girls, bought houses and cars.
In addition to going to school in Xiamen, Hassan lived in his rented office in Yiwu, with an average of one or two business pactions per month. "When I marry a Chinese wife, I will definitely buy a house here."
Hassan said with a smile.
The economic environment is not good, which does not seem to affect Hassan at all. He still goes to Yiwu to do one or two single businesses every month.
Hassan loves to chat with his Chinese classmates on QQ. His QQ signature says, "I want to stay in China forever."
