Recently, the Secretary of the Industrial Council of Armenia, Gigranharuchu Ni Jan, Vice Minister of economic affairs, said that the sub Ministry of economic affairs will formulate a strategy for the development of footwear industry in the unified strategic framework of the 2020 export oriented industrial policy.

Within two years, we will formulate corresponding development strategies for 11 industries.

In the early stage of the implementation of the strategy, the government of Armenia initially selected three priority industries, namely pharmaceutical and biotechnology, brandy production and precision instruments.

At present, the development strategy of the three industries has been formulated and the Industry Council has been set up. The Secretariat is located in the Armenia development department, and has promulgated corresponding measures for the development of the industry.
