    It mainly includes the washing and rubbing resistance of products, generally refers to the fading degree of dyed fabrics in the course of using or processing by external factors such as extrusion, friction, soaping, rain and insolation.

    As a manufacturer, when choosing a zipper supplier, pay attention to three color fastness of zippers: fastness to sunlight, color pfer and soaping fastness, thus avoiding these problems and improving the quality of garments.


    Fastness to sunlight


    In general, the sweat stains are accompanied by the sun.

    Therefore, the sunlight fastness is not single, it includes double fastness to sun and sweat.

    Different degrees of solarization can cause a series of photochemical reactions to cause structural damage to the dye itself, resulting in discoloration and fading.

    At the same time, the presence of sweat can make the pH value weak acid or weak alkaline, which will also significantly reduce the fastness of some disperse dyes to sunlight.

    Therefore, this compound effect is very different from that of pure sunlight fastness or perspiration fastness.

    However, through some precautions, the color fastness of the compound can be enhanced, so that the color of the zipper can be kept bright for a long time.

    Therefore, when choosing some zipper products, you should choose those zippers which are treated with UV or directly with high fastness.

    Many clothing manufacturers often use materials with special properties, such as PVC, PE cloth and various functional coating fabrics. These fabrics are complex in process and usually contain some chemical additives such as plasticizers and solvents.

    It is because of the presence of these auxiliaries that when the fibers are in contact with the fibers for a long time, these auxiliaries will penetrate into the fibers and make dye molecules more easily diffuse from the inside to the surface.

    Fastness to soaping


    The fastness to soaping of zippers is also an important indicator.

    The ordinary zipper cloth is made of 100% polyester and dyed with disperse dyes at high temperature.

    The soaping fastness of disperse dyes refers to the degree of dyeing of single or multi fiber fabrics under certain washing conditions.

    Theoretically speaking, disperse dyes are dispersed within the polyester fiber, and the disperse concentration of dyes gradually decreases from the surface layer to the inner layer, which results in the accumulation of more dye molecules on the surface.


    Therefore, the resistance to soaping fastness depends on two aspects: first, the size of the interaction force between the dye itself and the fiber molecules, and the larger the applied force. The dye molecules are hard to be washed out of the fiber surface by the soap and the force is small. Conversely, two is the residual amount of dye molecules on the surface of the fiber in the dyeing finishing process. If the latter is treated more thoroughly, the residual amount of the surface dyes will be very small.
