A few days ago, the catalogue of processing trade prohibited products was published in 2008. There were 1816 customs commodity codes, including 39 new banned categories and 598 second banned products in 2007.

The Ministry of Commerce pointed out that the newly revised processing trade policy no longer applies "one size fits all" to the processing trade, and many small and medium-sized enterprises will also present the vitality of industrial upgrading.
The new policy will relax the low polluting labor intensive processing trade industry, but still restrict the high energy consumption and high polluting industries.
It is understood that due to the pformation of the "New Deal" in processing trade, all traditional industries that belong to small and medium sized enterprises, which provide a large number of job opportunities and pollution-free will be excluded from the regulatory list.
