Professional Qualification Of Textile Designers Promotes Professional Talents Training

China's fabric development and design capabilities are relatively weak, and demand leads to new careers, textile fabric designers.

From the application situation, candidates for knitting direction are few. The China Textile Information Center will combine 3 directions of weaving, knitting and pattern design of textile fabric designers, and cultivate more professional talents in knitting field.

For this reason, I interviewed Bi Rui, project manager of textile fabric designer of China Textile Information Center and Chen Qi, director of fabric designer.

Fabric designers are in urgent need of talents.

Bi Rui introduced that the appraisal examination was divided into two parts: theoretical knowledge and professional skills, and the written examination was conducted in the one or two part.

All of the examiner have passed the rigorous qualification examination and review, submitted the material, material preliminary review and review process audit, and confirmed that a total of 37 candidates met the registration requirements and participated in the appraisal. The results will be announced in the near future.

The applicants were mostly undergraduates, mostly from textile enterprises, and a few came from colleges and universities (Figure 1).

Among them, the proportion of undergraduate education is not large, but most of them are experienced persons with enterprise experience.

As a professional qualification of knowledge and skills, textile fabric designers are a professional certification platform for enterprise talents. For colleges and universities, it is a process of understanding and integrating market knowledge, theory knowledge and practical skills, and testing and improving teaching methods.

Geographically, candidates are mainly concentrated in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other places, with a small proportion in the northern part (Figure 2), which coincides with the current regional distribution of China's textile industry.

In terms of registration level and direction, the number of candidates at the first level is mostly in the direction of weaving.

Judging from the past situation, candidates from enterprises and colleges and universities have more than one or two grades of candidates, three are less, and weaving is the majority.

In recent years, the field of knitting has developed rapidly and its proportion has improved. However, it is not symmetrical with the current number of knitting direction appraiser.

A few days ago, Lin Guangxing, vice president of the China Knitting Industry Association, said in an exclusive interview: "talent building is a key link in the" 12th Five-Year "period of the knitting industry. All kinds of talents and comprehensive talents who design R & D talents, skilled operational talents and so on are all in urgent need of talents.

The construction of qualified personnel is also the urgent demand of the entire textile industry at present. For this reason, China Textile Information Center will combine the 3 directions of weaving, knitting and pattern design of textile fabric designers' professional qualification, further go deep into the appraisal of enterprises, and hope to promote more professional talents in knitting field by this way, and further enhance the professionalism consciousness of more practitioners and enterprises.

Industry demand spawned new careers

The development and design capabilities are relatively weak in general. The production of most fabric enterprises is positioned in the middle and low grade products for a long time. The design and development are mostly imitation of foreign samples, lack of innovation consciousness and independent brand.

R & D personnel in fabric design industry generally have technical expertise, but there is still a big gap between them in terms of color, fashion and artistic style innovation, market research, brand planning and product promotion, fabric fashion design and color matching, and the combination of quick response and downstream product innovation.

Chen Qi said that in order to achieve high added value of fabrics and get higher profit returns, and then set up the brand image of China's textile industry, we must enhance our capability of independent innovation and design, which requires a large number of fabric designers with design creativity, market analysis and pioneering ability.

The establishment of a new career of textile fabric designer will play an important role in accelerating the development of a professional designer team, creating an internationally famous brand of textile fabrics, improving the international competitiveness of China's textile industry, and achieving a leap from a textile power to a textile power.

New directions for new careers

The professional qualification of textile designers is approved by the Ministry of human resources and social security of People's Republic of China. Under the guidance of the vocational skills appraisal and guidance center of textile industry, the China Textile Information Center is responsible for the identification of professional skills of textile fabrics designers, and drafted and revised the national professional standards for textile fabrics designers. It has organized series of textile and fabric designers appraisal for the society and institutions, and the selection and recommendation of the top ten textile fabric designers and textile fabric designers.

The textile fabric designer has identified 4 grades and 3 professional directions covering the professional qualification of textile fabric designers, namely, senior textile designer / national vocational qualification level, textile fabric designer / national vocational qualification two, assistant textile fabric designer / national vocational qualification three, textile fabric designer / national vocational qualification four level woven fabric design, knitted fabric design and pattern design direction.
