Urumqi Successfully Held Asia Europe Clothing Industry Cooperation Forum Yesterday

Experts pointed out that Xinjiang, as China's closest province to Europe, borders on Central Asian countries and has a large number of ethnic groups, and is closely related to Central Asian countries in culture. Therefore, it has the resources, geographical and cultural advantages in expanding the Asian and European garment industry, vigorously developing the Xinjiang garment industry, promoting the cooperation and development of the Asian and European garment industry, and creating a resplendence of the "Silk Road".

All countries join hands in reviving the Silk Road

The industrial cooperation forum is the first Asia Europe silk road.

The important interactive segment attracted more than 50 government agencies, chambers of Commerce and enterprises in nearly 10 countries and regions such as Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Turkey to come together with more than 200 people from all over the country to discuss the potential of China and Central Asia in the development of garment industry.

The development of Xinjiang's clothing industry can focus on the four major industrial chains.

Liu Yanning, director of Xinjiang textile office, said that the textile industry is a leading industry and traditional dominant industry in Xinjiang's industrialization, and also an extremely important livelihood industry in Xinjiang's national economy.

Xinjiang is the largest cotton producing province in China, and its cotton output accounts for more than 40% of the total output of the country. At present, Xinjiang cotton spinning ring has more than 5 million 500 thousand spindles, ranking the forefront of twelve provinces and cities in the western region.

Xinjiang has certain export and domestic demand markets.

In 2011, Xinjiang textile and apparel exports amounted to 7 billion 280 million US dollars, of which clothing was US $5 billion 410 million, accounting for about 32.14% of the total export value, and exports and local market consumption, the clothing market volume reached about 50000000000 yuan.

The export of clothing enterprises in Xinjiang accounted for only 1%.

Xinjiang has relatively low labor costs, low electricity price, abundant labor resources, and garment industry pfer. Xinjiang has certain undertaking conditions, and has the favorable conditions for becoming the most influential garment production base in Western China and the bridgehead for westward export.

The autonomous region has introduced preferential policies to encourage the development of the garment industry, so as to make Xinjiang's garment industry bigger and stronger and improve the proportion of Xinjiang's clothing in export processing. By the year 2020, the clothing industry's sales revenue in the region has exceeded 30 billion yuan, the total trade volume of clothing has been 160 billion yuan, and 500 thousand people have been employed.

Sun Huaibin, director of the China Textile Economic Research Center, said that considering the resources, foundation and future development of Xinjiang textile industry, there are four industrial chains that can be focused on: 1.

Two, the production of high-quality cotton yarn and cotton cloth production base in Xinjiang should be outstanding and not easy to emphasize the scale. The second is the chemical fiber industry, to develop the viscose industry with the advantages of cotton linter resources, to highlight environmental protection and cotton textile matching, and appropriately extend to knitting, non-woven fabrics and wrapping paper; three, to make full use of the national dress industry, to tap the Xinjiang multi-ethnic dress culture, to set up the popular publishing platform and production processing and circulation system, to guide and enrich the clothing consumption of Xinjiang's multi-ethnic groups; four, the export processing industry, to face the market of Central Asia, Western Asia and Russia, and gradually pform the considerable volume of goods trade into production and processing in Xinjiang.
