This seminar is sponsored by the intelligent clothing research center of University of Wales. The theme is the research and development of intelligent clothing products in the UK.

At the meeting, a product manager of a high-tech functional clothing in Britain admitted that "Made inChina" is a guarantee to reduce manufacturing costs, while "Made inUK" can raise the selling price.

As the only researcher from China, I raise this question. Why can "Made inUK" raise the selling price? There are few textile and garment manufacturing industries in the UK. How can we produce large scale advanced production equipment and skilled skilled workers? How can we ensure the manufacturing level of bulk products? What is the reason for raising prices? Obviously not.

Creative integration into Humanistic Heritage

With the support of the national special input, Sally spent two years rebuilding the abandoned old textile mill and rebuilt a Welsh national Wool Textile Museum.

In the carefully designed workshop, we can vividly feel the development process of Welsh's wool textile industry since the industrial revolution.

With the current advantages of "made in China", my query seems to be well founded. This doubt also stems from the British manufacturing has gone!

The departure is due to environmental factors, labor costs and the trend of globalization. This has also created the pformation of the British textile and garment industry.

And how long will the advantages of "made in China" last long, and we are ready to face the imperative pformation?

Because I studied English in England ten years ago.

In teaching and research, he has been in constant communication with British designers and scholars. As a visiting scholar, he once again returned to work in Britain. He still felt deeply about the pformation of the British textile and garment industry in the past ten years. Instead of the creative industry of large-scale manufacturing, it seems that a ubiquitous stealth industry has an important influence on the industrial pformation in Britain.

Sue has multiple identities, art history teacher, textile designer, and active member of Welsh Process Design Association.

The first visit to Craft in the Bay gallery is with Sue.

Sue carefully introduced the relationship between the gallery in the beautiful harbor and the Welsh Craft Design Association. The gallery is the window of the association, which is organized and operated by the members themselves.

Among the members are full-time designers, art college teachers, craftsmen, textile design is an important category.

The exhibition hall on the first floor of the gallery regularly holds exhibitions of members. The two floor workshop, which is opened by members, provides a place for lovers and children to learn and communicate.

The exhibition is also sold on the outside, and the members make the galleries sound. The surplus is mainly used for external exchange and Exhibition expenses.

Linen textile is a traditional Irish industry. The mild marine climate has nurtured the colorful culture of Ireland, and linen textiles are also famous all over the world.

My mentor, Jane, from Ireland, has been designing teacher for most of his life in England. He founded the first European Master's degree program in functional sports wear design, and trained many designers of famous sportswear brands in Europe. So he was awarded the famous design education innovation award awarded by Royal College of Art.

At present, Jane is responsible for the design of research on aging functional clothing. The prospective research project covers the research on the behavior habits and psychological needs of the elderly, the application of intelligent digital technology in functional clothing, and the research and methods of aging design.

Whether in London or Paris, Jane still likes to mention that he is an Irishman.

In the design concept of Jane, intrinsic comfort and external beauty are equally important.

Her clothing brand is designed for beautiful and comfortable casual clothes for the middle-aged and elderly people who love nature and sports. They are made of Irish fabrics.

As a member of creative design education in the UK, Jane and many colleagues explored the path of British creative development and nurtured innovative talents for the UK.
