Does your design seem to emphasize Chinese elements?
Liu Yuan Feng
I have been combining the understanding of fashion, the concept of design and the elements of Chinese culture, making the works more cultural and creating works that are suitable for consumers and with Chinese culture.
The more the nation is, the more the world will be. If our products compete internationally, if we do not have the national culture as the foundation, it will be impossible for us to fight for fashion and compete with the modern world. Many works of art have proved this.
In the international environment, competitive works must be supported by culture, plus the concept of culture, in order to make the work have the style and the connotation of national culture.
Reporter: but some people say that China's elements cannot be integrated with the world. What do you think?
Liu Yuanfeng: the so-called connection is relative. How to connect and connect with what track is a concept.
To be honest, things are good and have cultural connotations. They are naturally welcomed by the market. After being welcomed by the market, they will probably recognize you internationally.
Everything, especially the art product, is pluralistic, and there is no basic standard for how to calculate it well.
People's aesthetic habits and aesthetic needs are diverse. Although I emphasize the design trend of Chinese elements, I will not ask others to do so.

I just said I had such a feeling, or I would like to design the works like this.
The real design should be meticulous to the market.
Reporter: Northern dress has produced many excellent domestic designers. It can be said that more than half of the famous designers in China are from the northern dress. What is the most important thing in your training of students?
Liu Yuanfeng: our philosophy of running a school is science, art and fashion.

Liu Yuanfeng: on the one hand, the product made by the designer, on the other hand, it is the direction of the product.
This trend is something popular internationally, coupled with the trend of consumer demand, coupled with the cultural connotations of domestic areas, and takes into account the basic trend of products in several aspects.
The most important thing is to meet the needs of the brand specific customer group.
International popularity is just a big background. It can only be regarded as a reference. The real design should be meticulous to the market, and it is very important to consider your consumer groups and satisfy them and lead them.
Reporter: now more and more foreign designers and foreign brands are entering China. How can Chinese designers cope with them?
Liu Yuanfeng: This is both a pressure and a driving force. Nothing can be improved without challenge.
Don't be afraid. It's important to learn from the strengths of foreign brands, plus our original foundation and business models, and constantly improve our products.
Any area is now internationalized, it is impossible to keep foreign brands from coming in, and everywhere is also in the international competition. As long as we have the mentality of research and study, the brand will continue to mature.
Reporter: but many domestic consumers in the first tier cities will have the inherent thinking of "Chongyang", and feel that domestic brands or designers are not old enough to change this concept.
Liu Yuanfeng: it's a matter of the consumer community to say that western style is not fashionable. If your product is suitable for high-end consumption, whether western style or not is not the main factor, to meet the aesthetic needs of customers, she feels good, and then very practical to dress very comfortably, this is the most important thing.
China's foreign flavor and Europe's foreign flavor are not the same connotation, the ethnicity and culture's aesthetic are different, so there are no fixed standards.
I always feel that foreign style is not foreign, no standard, as long as suitable for consumers, consumers like it, is a good thing.

Fashion begins with small crowds and finally crowds.

These young designers represent the future of Chinese clothing. Their talents and understanding of fashion, and their comprehensive grasp of national culture and modern culture are maturing. Good works are being welcomed by the market, some are national brands, and others are brand based on market demand, meeting the diversified needs of the market and leading the market.
Design needs a batch of designers to push forward.
A designer with a certain academic background and innovative spirit can integrate his thinking into his own products through his own thinking, which will make the clothing market more colorful and fashionable, and enable people to choose clothes while being influenced by the aesthetic connotation of clothing and culture.
Clothing, like other design products, has both practical and aesthetic functions. It meets the needs of the masses while it is nurtured by aesthetics in the process of using it. This is the future direction of clothing development.
