    If the formation speed is greater than the rate of falling off, the ball will accumulate on the surface.

    The rate of ball formation is related to the number, length, cross section, yarn quality and fabric structure of yarns.

    Any factor that causes the fiber to slide to the surface of the yarn can increase the ball rate.

    Because the ends of the fibers protrude on the unit area are less, and the long fibers can also be more firmly fixed on the yarns.

    The high twist enables the yarn to be more compact, with less prominent fibers, less fiber mobility and less pilling.


    In the mixed fabric, the higher the polyester content is, the easier it is to pilling.


    It is not easy to pilling when the yarn hairiness is small.

    The knitted fabric is easier to pilling than the woven fabric due to the large surface area of the exposed yarn.


    Compared with twill weave fabric, plain weave fabric is difficult to pilling because of its large number of interweaves and short cross length.


    A lightweight fabric containing a small amount of low-grade cotton is easier to pilling than heavy fabric.


    Therefore, all kinds of fibers, yarns and fabrics will produce pilling.

    Theoretically, the best conditions to choose the various factors can reduce pilling, but in most cases, these will affect other properties of the fabric.


    The following methods can be used to control pilling:


    1. Choose fibers that are not easy to pilling during yarn and fabric production.


    2, in the jet dyeing machine before the pretreatment and dyeing, add lubricant Lubsoft to prevent friction.


    3. When using reactive dyes dyed cotton and polyester / cellulose fiber blended fabric in jet dyeing machine, sodium sulfate can be used instead of common salt.

    Cellulose fiber and polyester / wool blended fabrics are properly thermally shaped so that the yarn can be shaped and properly fed.

    9. Polyester / cellulose fiber, polyester / wool and cotton fabric were treated with special assistant Saraglow-CL in jet dyeing machine. The clothes were washed with rotary cage to remove surface fibers.


    10, dosage should be appropriate to avoid excessive softness and lubrication, otherwise it will cause fiber to move towards the surface and cause pilling.


    11, finishing with special finishing agents, such as Sarafeel-jy/Sarafeel-763, special silicone compound, can give fabric softness and improve ball making through film forming. Sarasoft-MR organosilicon polymerization finishing agent has film forming property and can improve abrasion resistance. Garfinish-As has the characteristics of anti pilling and scratch resistance, and can be added to the traditional finishing liquid formula.
