    Micro suspension dyeing Technology (MSD)


    Micro suspension dyeing technology (MSD) is a new type of dyeing and finishing technology that has been invented and named by the technical research group headed by Professor Xing Jianwei of the textile and materials Institute of Xi'an Polytechnic University. MSD technology uses micro suspension dyeing assistants in pad dyeing to form fine micro suspension particles and disperse them evenly in dye bath, and then enter the fibers and yarn gaps by impregnating. With the increase of bath temperature, the micro suspension particles disintegrate gradually, and dye is released into the fiber and then fixed. Research shows that MSD technology has the following advantages:


    Dye is protected by "entrapment" of micro suspended particles. The contact probability of dyes and alkali agents is reduced, the hydrolysis of dyes is reduced, and the amount of dyes used to dye the same chromatic fabrics is reduced. When dyeing wool / nitrile blended fibers, the staining of different fibers is also reduced due to the protection of dyes.


    2. Dye is first adsorbed onto the fiber in the form of micro suspended particles and then diffused and fixed, so that the dye can be dyed evenly. Because of its good levelling property, when dyeing protein fiber, it can rapidly dye up to 3 (C/min), which not only effectively reduces fiber damage at high temperature, but also saves time and energy consumption.

    At present, Changzhou moonlight corduroy Limited has successfully carried out the micro suspension dyeing of pure cotton corduroy, and has successfully set up an annual production of 20 million M cotton corduroy fabric and ordinary cotton fabric micro suspension pad dyeing and dyeing demonstration base. Production practice has proved that processing the cotton fabric per 10000 meters can save an average dye consumption of 26.78 kg, and the average amount of waste dye discharged per ton of cotton fabric is about 3.6 kg.


    The micro suspension dyeing technology has the characteristics of environmental protection, energy saving and excellent dyeing performance, but the technology is still in the development stage. The research on the varieties of dyed fabrics is not comprehensive enough, and it is also limited to wool, silk or fox hair and other protein fibers and cotton fibers. fibre The research is few. At present, there are not many manufacturers using this technology, and we should strengthen the propaganda and expand the scale of new technologies.
