Levi's 2013 Spring Waste

Through the company's partners, polyethylene terephthalate materials - including brown beer bottles, green soda bottles, water purification bottles, and black food trays - are collected through municipal recycling projects across the United States. These bottles and food trays are sorted by color, and then crushed into thin pieces to make polyester fiber. Next, polyester fiber and cotton fiber are mixed and finally woven together with Cone Denim's traditional cotton yarn to make denim used in Levi's Waste

Curleigh added: "We have made new use of waste and made our own contribution to waste recycling through this series. We don't just want to reduce our impact on the environment, we also want to make the environment better.
