According to the association's statistics, there are about 160 garment factories in Burma, and only about 6 of them have their own capacity to handle import and export business, of which about more than 20 are foreign-funded plants.
During the 2011 years, Burma received orders from Japan to grow more than 80%. Although owners used to improve their processing quality by labour training, the results did not seem to be as effective as expected.
However, under the influence of China and Vietnam's gradual labor competitiveness, even if so, coupled with the fact that Burma's power supply system has not yet been completely improved, compared with Bangladesh and India and other peripheral countries, in terms of culture, diet, housing and management, Burma's textile industry still has relatively better development conditions for our industry.

Development is still quite backward, and technology and knowledge are quite inadequate. At present, there are still many small family factories that use traditional shuttle weaving machines in weaving, with a scale ranging from 10 to 20 units, while some can be more than 100. But almost all of the artificial fibers, cotton lines, dyestuffs and auxiliaries are imported, and mostly from China and India. As for foreign garment factories, they are more than supplied with raw materials and processed, using cheap labor cost to re export, and the level of upgrading of the textile industry is of little help.
Li pointed out that in terms of vat dyes, the company imports about 700 tons a year, and its direct dyestuffs are about 1200 tons. The most widely used dye in Burma is disperse dyes. These products come mostly from China and India. But in recent years, China's environmental awareness has been raised and production costs have increased. Many demands have been imported from India.
Taiwan has a very high level of chemical technology. It has a strong ability to improve and develop various auxiliaries. It can also be custom-made, which is in line with Burma's current needs. For example, textile auxiliaries such as anti UV, softening, stabilizers and other additives will have a great market in the future. Other auxiliaries such as dyeing and finishing and leather processing also have potential for development.
However, Burma's environmental awareness is rising. For those who come to invest in Burma, especially in dyeing and finishing industry, as long as they pay special attention to the problem of wastewater treatment, the market still has great potential for investment and marketing.
