Maryland Passed A Bill On Prohibition Of Fire Retardants.

Recently, P passed a bill on Prohibition of fire retardants in Maryland, which has been signed by the governor.

The bill calls for the prohibition of the importation, sale or provision of phosphate three (2- chloro ethyl ester) from October 1, 2013, namely, child care products with a concentration of TCEP exceeding 0.1%.

Child care products refer to consumer goods intended for use by children under 3 years old, including baby products, toys, car safety seats, nursing pillows, baby mattresses and baby carriages.

Besides P, other states in the United States have also introduced a bill to limit the fire retardants in children's products, except for Maryland.

In April 15th, under the 65 proposal of California, the first case of reconciliation of prohibited flame retardants in children's products was reached, and flame retardants were banned in children's foam rest mats.

New York also stipulates that since December 1, 2013, products that are designed for children under 3 years of age (including baby products, toys, car safety seats, pillow, mattress, baby carriage, etc.) shall not contain TCEP.

Less than P, more state restrictions on flame retardants are under discussion, including Connecticut Dick, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Jersey and Washington state.

< p > in order to avoid the loss or recall of exported products in the target market, CTI recommends that manufacturers pay close attention to the latest federal and state restrictions on the use of flame retardants, avoid toxic and harmful chemicals in the production process and replace them with environmentally-friendly materials.

At the same time, we should strengthen product testing to ensure that products meet the regulatory requirements of the target market.
