From 19 to 20, Wen Jiabao, accompanied by members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Wang Yang, Secretary of the Guangdong provincial Party committee and governor Huang Huahua, came to Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and other places in the heat and heat of the summer. He encouraged everyone to turn pressure into motivation, change difficulties into opportunities, increase R & D efforts, upgrade technological level, build independent brands and enhance competitiveness.

Wen Jiabao also held a symposium in Shenzhen, and worked with some of the heads of enterprises to study the measures to improve the current economic work.

During his study, Wen Jiabao listened to the report on the economic development of the Guangdong provincial Party committee and the provincial government.

He fully affirmed the achievements and experience of Guangdong in adhering to reform and opening up, conscientiously implementing the Scientific Outlook on Development, and in economic and social development.

Wen Jiabao pointed out that Guangdong is China's first and most advanced position in reform and opening up. In the past 30 years, great achievements have been made in economic and social development, and achieved a historic leap, which has made important contributions to the reform, opening up and modernization drive of China.

Today, in the new historical starting point, Guangdong, especially the ShenZhen Railway Station, must continue to be a leader in the reform and opening up to the outside world in the face of new opportunities, new challenges and new demands.

Through deepening reform and opening up, we will take the lead in the scientific development, participation in global competition and the building of a harmonious socialist society.

Wen Jiabao stressed that the current economic and social development in Guangdong is just as good as the whole country, but the situation is facing many new difficulties and problems, especially the slowdown in world economic growth, and the contraction of external demand has increased the impact on some export oriented SMEs in the Pearl River Delta region.

In response to these challenges, the fundamental way out is to deepen the reform and opening up and promote the development of science.

We should focus on several aspects: first, we need to accelerate the pformation of the mode of economic development, promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure, and strive to build the world's advanced manufacturing base and the modern service industry regional center.

Two, we should expand the breadth and depth of opening up, intensify our international competitiveness, vigorously raise the level of "import and export", accelerate the implementation of the "going global" strategy and raise the open economy to a new level.

Three, we must adhere to the principle of mutual benefit and equal consultation, innovate cooperation ideas and ways, and vigorously promote close cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
