China's reform and opening up 30th anniversary achievement ceremony and reform star award ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the people in Beijing.

Zhou Yaoting, chairman of the China Association of township entrepreneurs and chairman of the board of directors of the red bean group, was awarded the title of "30 years and 30 people who have influenced China's reform".

"Under the leadership of Zhou Yao Ting, the red bean group has grown from a family workshop to a listed company, taking the creation of national brand as its responsibility. It has gone through a brilliant pioneering course from the 1957 of the enterprise to the relatively diversified industry.

He has implemented innovation as an important strategy for enterprises. He is a model of the "South of Jiangsu model" and the innovation and development of Chinese township enterprises. It is also a model of China's economic development with the Wenzhou model, Quanzhou model and Geng car model.

In particular, his new collective economy, the joint-stock cooperative economy, opened the first step in the reform of shareholding system.

As Zhou Yaoting commented on the organizing committee, in 1983, he was the director of Hong Kong's knitting factory (the predecessor of the red bean group). It is Zhou Yaoting's reforms that made the knitting factories in Jiangsu a rapid development. In 1992, they became the first provincial-level Township Enterprise Group - the red bean group.

Since 90s, Zhou Yaoting has continuously promoted the pformation and upgrading of enterprises. In the early 90s, the red bean group completed the development from a single product to a clothing serialization. In 1995, it crossed the industry into the locomotive industry, and entered the rubber tire industry in 1998.

Entering the new century, Zhou Yaoting also suggested that the red bean group must develop globally. In 2000, it began to set up branches in New York and Losangeles. In 2007, it invested in the construction of the 11.13 square kilometers of the Losangeles Special Economic Zone (HKSAR).

Zhou Yaoting introduced new and high technology industries while strengthening traditional industries.

In 1997, he quietly started the yew planting experiment with the keen insight of an entrepreneur.

Taxus chinensis is a national protected plant. It can absorb two oxygen sulfur, sulfur dioxide, formaldehyde, xylene and other harmful gases in the air, and can extract the paclitaxel which is very effective in treating cancer.

After 10 years of research and cultivation, the planting area of yew has reached 15000 mu, and 20 million yew seedlings have been planted. It is the largest breeding base for yew seedlings in China, and is also one of the largest cultivation bases of Taxus seedlings in the world.

The red bean group has invested 80 million yuan to build a taxol refinery. The expensive raw material has been exported to Europe and South America.

In September 20th this year, yew bonsai also entered the office and conference room of Zhongnanhai leaders and state organs.

Zhou Yaoting, under the policy of reform and opening to the outside world, brought the development of the red bean group step by step, and achieved a leap across the board. It became a modern enterprise group with 20 thousand employees and 100 thousand employees.
