Safety Of Small Parts For Export Children'S Shoes Should Not Be Neglected

A few days ago, the European non food consumer goods quick warning system (RAPEX) issued a recall notice to OCKATOO children's shoes. The reason is that children's shoes were sewn with small plastic beads and plastic sheets as decoration, but these small parts only reached 14.6~39 cattle, while the EU's relevant regulations and requirements should reach 90N + 2.

At present, the goods have been withdrawn from Hungary market and recalled.

In October 8, 2008, the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a quality bulletin. A group of 11000 pairs of children's sandals were not able to meet the prescribed requirements due to the plastic decoration flowers. There was a risk of suffocation and recall.

The inspection and quarantine department analyzed that the main reason for the above problems was that the enterprises did not pay enough attention to the safety and quality problems of their products. They were not familiar with the laws, regulations and standards of the relevant countries, and did not strictly distinguish the different standards for the products of different importing countries, blindly trusting the technical data and quality requirements provided by the customers.

In order to avoid unnecessary losses in the safety of children's shoes, the inspection and quarantine department reminds the manufacturers of children's shoes to consciously abide by the technical regulations and standards of the importing countries, and takes effective measures to improve the product design and production process, do well in the tension detection of the relevant small parts, and ensure the safety and quality of the products.
