Swiss Table Rivals: Apple Iwatch Needs Luxury To Grab The Market.
Industry rumors Apple The company has launched iWatch for the autumn, and has been excavating its Patrick Pruniaux, vice president of sales, from the Tag Heuer of LVMH group. Although Apple has yet to comment on relevant news, the departure of Patrick Pruniaux is a foregone conclusion.
In fact, this is not the first time technology giant Apple Corp has exploited talents in the luxury sector. Last July, apple hired Yves Saint Laurent, former CEO Paul Deneve of France's luxury clothing brand as senior vice president, in charge of a "special" project directly reporting to Cook. At that time, many speculations believed that Paul Deneve would become Apple's advisor in wearable devices, such as smart watches. Of course, some people think that Deneve is just to boost Apple's universal product design and sales of "luxury" direction. In mid October, apple invited Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts Angela to take over its retail business in 2014.
Reporters have previously reported the trademark war between the world's largest watch manufacturer Swatch Group and apple. Swatch is determined to carry out the war on trademark protection of iSwatch to the end, and strongly resists the distress caused by the new product iWatch of Apple brand.
Swatch points out that ISwatch Trademarks have been registered in about 80 regions since 2008. Only 30 registered places were added in 2013 alone, but the company did not specifically indicate which countries the rights protection operation was launched. Apple Corp, which has never been so secretive about new product information, has not publicly talked about developing iWatch smart watches, but has registered trademarks in Japan, Mexico and Turkey last year.
Of course, Apple products will never be out of date if they can always connect users with the concept of "fashion" and "luxury". No matter from which angle, the legendary iWatch will try to take the "luxury line" seems to be an inevitable path -- after all, smart watches are enough, and some brands of smart watches have even undergone several iterations. If iWatch exists and iWatch wants to stand out, luxury will become an important support for iWatch to attract users and bring high profits to apple, besides relying on a closed iOS system.
