At present, there are 5256 textile and garment enterprises in the city and 766 enterprises in scale. Last year, the industry output value reached 45 billion 800 million yuan, an increase of 13.77% over the same period last year.

Last year, the profit of textile and garment industry exceeded 400 million yuan, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year.

At present, Zhongshan has 4 Municipal Textile Industrial Parks, and has formed a relatively complete industrial matching with the industrial pattern of popular cloth, big jeans, Shaxi casual wear, Xiaolan underwear, triangular knitted garments, urban chemical fiber and fabrics.

Vice mayor Feng Yurong said in the introduction of the situation that the next municipal Party committee and municipal government will also promote the pformation and upgrading of traditional industries such as textile and clothing, and enhance market competitiveness by supporting the upgrading of industrial clusters and the construction of industrial bases.

In order to win more orders in the crisis of scale enterprises, the textile and garment industry accounts for 70% of the town's industrial output value of Shaxi. It has an important textile and garment industrial cluster in Zhongshan.

The person in charge of the town's economic and Trade Office said that by the end of last year and after the start of this year, more than 200 enterprises in the town have found that the export growth rate of the enterprises has slowed down. Last year, the total export volume was 300 million US dollars, up 10% from the same period last year, but this increase is the lowest in nearly 10 years.

However, he also said that from this year's commencement rate, the current situation of large enterprises receiving orders is better than the previous two years. Some enterprises can arrange their orders in April, but this year has been arranged for June, and some enterprises even have their orders placed in October.

He said that the main reasons were: overseas merchants were affected by the financial crisis, and the operation risk was reduced by extending payment settlement time, distributing annual orders, reducing the number of small suppliers, and so on. In this market change, large enterprises have more ability and strength to deal with.
