Fifty Leather Enterprises In The South China Sea Accept Environmental Protection This Year
Last Friday, Cui Guo, director of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Nanhai District, said in an exclusive interview with our reporter that the Nanhai District will focus on 50 leather enterprises this year.
These enterprises are considered to have large resources consumption and have a great impact on the water environment of the nearby basins.
According to Cui Guo, most leather enterprises in the Nanhai District were put into operation in the 80s and 90s of last century, including 34 lions hill towns, 12 Luo Cun, 2 Guicheng and 2 Li Shui.
Most of these enterprises were engaged in finished skin spraying and color processing, and later were gradually converted to semi finished blue leather processing.
At present, apart from three enterprises engaged in leather processing, most of them are engaged in semi finished blue leather processing.
At the beginning of this year, the environmental protection department of the South China Sea conducted a thorough investigation of 50 leather enterprises and found that there were 4 problems in these enterprises.
Cui Guo said that enterprises that had not been put into production without approval by the environmental protection department or were removed without approval from the environmental protection department should be investigated and dealt with according to the relevant environmental laws and regulations, and they should be ordered to stop production or use.
Some enterprises with small scale and weak environmental protection facilities and unable to carry out further reform suggest that the local government give preferential policies, implement shutting down, relocation or conversion, eliminate backward production capacity and reduce pollution emissions.
The leather enterprises with certain scale of production, complete environmental protection formalities and more standardized management are ordered by the environmental protection bureau to carry out the reuse of China's water and use more than 50% on the basis of the original emission of environmental protection permits.
