    Inspiration comes from consumption demand.

    Nowadays, China's home textiles are moving from quantity to culture and creativity. "Home textiles must first be creative, leading the design, and then adapting to the market. We need to have an in-depth understanding of market demand and consumer demand."

    Gong Jianpei said, in fact, there are many aspects that need entrepreneurs and designers to pay attention to. But for the time being, enterprises do not pay close attention to the design details that consumers really need. For example, when friends choose a meal at a buffet party, they carry plates on one hand and hold cups in one hand. If they meet an acquaintance who wants to hold a hand, they can not, but if the designer designs a cup holder on the plate, people can easily put the cup on the tray cupboard and empty one hand to communicate. This design is the design that consumers need.

    Similarly, for example, when children sleep at night, quilts, shoulders often suffer from cold shoulder, shoulder periarthritis and so on, why can't designers start to change and change from design concept to design for this particular consumer group? This is what we often call inspiration from life. Nowadays, many designers are stitching embroidery on quilt surface, adding folds or other elements on bedside corners, etc. These are not designs, but are pieced together and have no value.

    If designers draw design inspiration from consumption needs rather than simple drawing, that is valuable and market oriented design.

    Changing ideas and creating value

    In the home textile design, "creativity" has always been the most common and important two words in the industry. If the market is shopping from the perspective of consumers, what kind of products can produce desire? Gong Jianpei said: "if a good product can attract consumers, it is most likely to be two points. One is to have a very good idea, and others can not think of it and you think of creativity, two is to achieve the ultimate degree in a design point, whether it is craft or a particular detail."

    Gong Jianpei said, to give a most popular concept, for example, "concept car", if the car designed by the designer is neither the car sold in the market, nor the concept car that will be popular in green consumption after 35 years, or the ecological concept car, then the car is of no value.

    The same is true for the design of home textiles. Nowadays, how many home textiles are designed from the perspective of ecology or reuse of waste? From the perspective of life, we should design from the aspect of the pformation of bedding products.

    For example, how can a bed sheet and quilt that has been used for 3 years become a new design for reused home textiles? In fact, it is a fact that a designer needs to pform and enhance design concepts, instead of just changing from appearance to appearance or skill.

    At present, most of the home textile designs in the Chinese market are almost decided by the leaders of enterprises. Gong Jianpei said: "when I communicate with enterprises, I know that their designers have to complete a lot of design every month, stipulate that the workload of death makes designers unable to stop thinking, so from this perspective, it is very difficult to have" slow design "works.

    The so-called "slow design" means that designers need to have certain ideas and precipitate certain cultural connotations before designing.

    For example, when designers go out to collect sketches or work too busy to go out, they can search and learn materials from the Internet. Although there are many materials on the Internet, they need to filter themselves and absorb only good things. For example, when appreciating outstanding works abroad, they should not only look at the design, but think about why they design so much. What do they want to show? Why do they behave like this?

    "Business leaders and designers must strengthen their understanding of Chinese culture and their understanding of home textile culture and their understanding of design culture. These three levels need to be done, and then we can draw inspiration from the needs of consumers and design will succeed, so that we can lead the design and lead the market."
