A few days ago, the Lanxi Textile Industry Association held its second general meeting.

At the same time, the textile industry in Lanxi has developed rapidly and has made remarkable achievements: the textile enterprises in the whole city have increased from less than 700 to more than 1700, of which 181 enterprises and 59 enterprises have been listed on textile regulation, and the output value of textile industry has increased from 4 billion 300 million yuan to 23 billion 900 million yuan; the employment problem of more than 50 thousand people has been solved.

At present, the production of denim in Lanxi is the first in the province. The output of pure cotton elastic fabric is the first in the country, and has won more than 10 awards including "China's famous weaving city", "China's textile industry base city" and "national textile and garment talents training base".

Wu Guocheng affirmed the work of textile industry association in recent years.

He said that the association, under the leadership of Zhang Shugen and chairman of Zhejiang Yunshan Textile Co., Ltd., has made great contributions to the rapid and healthy development of the textile industry and achieved great results.

In recent years, the Lanxi municipal Party committee and the municipal government have been implementing the innovation driven strategy in the light of the establishment of the "textile strong market". The support policy has been put forward to promote the "machine replacement". The city has introduced more than 13000 advanced air-jet looms in the world, and has reduced more than 1/3 of the labour force. The textile industry has grown into a pillar industry in the whole city. The output value and sales of the textile industry account for more than 1/3 of the total amount of the city; the foreign trade of the city has exceeded 1 billion dollars, and the textile industry has contributed more than half.

Especially since this year, under the severe macroeconomic situation, the textile industry in Lanxi has gone against the tide and achieved good results. It has led to the development of other industries and has become a beautiful landscape of the city's economic and social development.
