China Leather Association Fur Economic Animal Breeding Specialized Committee Set Up

The vice chairman of the China Leather Association has read the "decision on the establishment of China Leather Association fur economic animal breeding committee" at the fourth national fur industry joint conference and the China Leather Association fur economic animal breeding Committee founding conference. The China Leather Association fur economic animal breeding Specialized Committee was formally established.

At the meeting, Zhang Zhiming, President of the first fur economic animal breeding Specialized Committee, first released a statistical report on the number of Chinese mink, Fox and raccoon animals and their skin number (2013).

He said that China's mink, Fox and raccoon breeding began in 1957, and has been in the past 60 years, but as a modern culture, it has only a history of more than ten years.

At present, China's fur economic animal farming is distributed in thirteen provinces and municipalities, such as Shandong, Liaoning, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Anhui, Anhui, Anhui, and so on, but the main breeding areas are concentrated in the territory of China, accounting for 95% of the total livestock farming.

The statistical report on the number of Chinese mink, Fox and raccoon species and skin taken out in 2013 is based on the statistical data collected from the above main aquaculture areas.

In 2013, the number of Chinese mink, Fox and raccoon species and the number of skins taken were about 15000000: the number of the mink species was about 3440000, the number of the foxes was about 3500000, the number of the mink was about 3500000, the number of the mink skin was about 40000000, the number of the fur for the fox was about 10000000, and that of the raccoon dog was about 12000000.

In 2013, the number of species of mink was about 15000000, which increased by 43.3% compared with the same period in 2012. The number of foxes was about 3440000. Compared with the same period in 2012, the number increased by 55%. The number of raccoon animals was about 3530000, which increased by 63.7% compared with the same period in 2012.

The amount of skin taken throughout the year increased considerably compared with that in 2012.

According to the statistics in 2013, the number of skin picked by the mink increased by 38.1% compared with that in 2012, and the amount of fur taken by the fox increased by 27.6% compared with that in 2012. The amount of skin taken from raccoon dogs increased by 99.2% compared with that in 2012.

Based on the statistical analysis of the number of animal species of fur economic animals in 2013, it is concluded that mink farming in China is mainly concentrated in Shandong, Liaoning and Hebei. Among them, the number of breeding animals in Shandong is the largest, and the species of mammals account for about 76.2% of the total animal species in the country.

Liaoning ranks second, and the number of species of animals accounts for about 13.5% of the total animal species in the country.

Hebei ranked third, the number of species of animals accounted for about 6.8% of the total national animal species.

Fox farming in China is mainly concentrated in Hebei, Jilin and Shandong, of which Hebei has the largest number of breeding animals, accounting for about 49.3% of the total species.

Shandong ranks second, and the number of species of animals accounts for about 25.2 of the total animal species in the country.

Jilin ranked third, the number of species of animals accounted for about 23.2% of the total national animal species.

The breeding of raccoon in China is concentrated in Hebei, Shandong and Jilin. Among them, the number of breeding animals in Hebei is the largest, and the number of species is about 71.8% of the total species in China.

Shandong ranks second, and the number of species of animals accounts for about 15.2% of the total animal species in the country.

Jilin ranked third, the number of species of animals accounted for about 11.3% of the total national animal species.

Zhang Zhiming said that in the future, the China Leather Association fur economic animal breeding Specialized Committee will continue to do a good job in the statistical analysis of the quantity of the mink, Fox and raccoon animals and the number of skin taken out under the unified guidance of the State Forestry Administration, and release it to the public in a timely manner.
