In this regard, Wang Chunwei, director of the Shishi industrial and commercial bureau, told reporters that in the past two years, a large number of new registered trademarks have been added to stone lions, and more than 70% of them are concentrated in manufacturing enterprises, especially in textile and garment enterprises. Against the backdrop of the appreciation of the renminbi, the export situation is sluggish. Textile and garment OEM (OEM) enterprises are making breakout and transformation in the form of registered trademarks and licensing, which has greatly promoted the high number of trademark registrations in Shishi over the past two years.
In the past more than 10 years, the company has been making OEM for an international first-line children's wear brand. However, in recent years, under the pressure of rising labor prices and RMB appreciation, the company's OEM business has been losing year by year. After some weighing, the company chose to register "Feng Yan" new trademark, and intends to start the strategy of internal and external sales in the form of its own brand.
"The old road of subcontracting has gone nowhere. The development of our own brand is the general trend. We must register the trademark and firmly grasp the company's right to development in our own hands in the form of brand creation." Zhen Feng company chairman Cai Mingfa said.
Tian Qiming, President of Shishi textile and garment trade association, told reporters that in the past few years, Shishi textile and apparel had been heavily gathered in the OEM field, which has accumulated a large number of production advantages and capital advantages for the Shishi textile and garment industry. However, at present, a large number of International Textile and clothing OEM orders are being transferred to Southeast Asia, South America and even Africa. In the past, the spinning and weaving industry is no longer an irrevocable substitute for foundry.
This is undoubtedly a huge impact on the industrial economy of Shishi. Lin Jinchang, director of the Shishi Economic Bureau, believes that for a long time, a large number of textile and garment enterprises in Shishi rely on OEM, with steady returns and small risks. But objectively, they have formed chronic diseases such as the large number of brands in the Shishi garment industry and the lack of terminal control. It is foreseeable that after the wave of brand building, there will inevitably be some big brands that can shake the clothing market at home and abroad, thus driving the breakout and transformation of the entire Shishi textile and garment industry.
Facing a large number of OEM Enterprises Self created brand The government of Shishi will speed up its guidance. In July this year, under the guidance of the local government, the Shishi textile and garment industry set up a brand guidance fund, raising funds 50 million yuan, financing and supporting OEM enterprises. The local industry and commerce departments have also introduced a number of measures to help OEM enterprises in the process of trademark registration and licensing.
