At the opening ceremony of the China International Conference on exhibition economy, Wang Jinzhen, vice president of China Council for promoting trade, pointed out that China's exhibition market has been increasingly concerned by the world's exhibition industry. With the accelerated pformation of China's economy, the two-way demand of the international market and the Chinese market will accelerate the "eastward shift" of the world exhibition industry.

As the world's third largest exhibition professional forum, "China Exhibition economic development report 2014" released annually during the China Convention and Exhibition International Economic Cooperation Forum (hereinafter referred to as the "report") has become a "main course" expected by Chinese and foreign exhibition industry.
It can be said that each year's report shows different changes in the market structure of China's exhibition.
Under the new normal, the release of the 2014 annual report will be more related to the planning and market layout of exhibition enterprises.
According to the report, the total volume of China's exhibition market continued to rise in recent years in 2014, but the annual increment of over 10% in previous years has slowed down.
According to incomplete statistics, 2423 economic and trade exhibitions were held in 2014, an increase of about 18.02% over 2012, an increase of 4.2% over 2013. The total area of exhibition is about 71 million 100 thousand square meters, an increase of 17.97% over 2012, and an increase of 2.6% over 2013.
While the growth rate is slowing down, China's exhibition market is undergoing regional adjustment.

The report points out that the level of exhibition industry in China is becoming more specialized, the process of branding is accelerating, and the construction of venues is in the ascendant.
In 2015, China's exhibition industry will be optimized and integrated while maintaining low growth.
The exhibition industry in the central and western regions will receive more attention and greater room for development, and the proportion of new industries and high value-added industries will be further enhanced.

In response to the new normal market environment that the exhibition industry is concerned about, Wang Jinzhen made three suggestions:
First, we should try our best to promote reform and innovation, break down barriers to binding innovation, follow market rules, improve management mechanisms, speed up the process of informatization, stimulate the vitality and creativity of market players, and explore new roads and new models suitable for their own development.
Two, we should actively optimize the development environment, speed up the formulation and promotion of exhibition industry standards, increase the protection of intellectual property rights, build an industry credit system, enhance the level of public services, and lead and promote the development of China's Convention and exhibition industry in a professional and standardized way.
The three is to constantly enlarge the function of exhibition. We should make exhibition activities a platform for publicizing the image of the country and region, deepen the platform for economic and technological cooperation, promote an open platform for foreign trade and investment, and promote a platform for interconnection. We should give full play to the various functions and radiation effects of the exhibition activities so as to better serve the overall situation of national economy and social development.

Lv Jijian, deputy director of the Ministry of Commerce, trade and business services, attended the opening ceremony and said that after years of cultivation, the International Conference on China's Convention and exhibition economy has established an important platform for the exchanges between Chinese and foreign exhibition industry.
In addition, participants in the "mobile Internet and big data application" lecture learned that China's conference and Exhibition mobile internet terminal service level has been ahead of Europe and the United States, which is a strong proof of China's Convention and exhibition industry's use of Internet technology progress.
