In December, domestic cotton prices continued to decline slightly, textile enterprises before the Spring Festival replenishment time moved forward, increased the procurement progress of Xinjiang cotton, cotton inventories increased earlier.

In December, textile enterprises increased cotton purchase volume, inventories increased 20% from last month, and stock days increased by 8.3 days.

Of the surveyed enterprises, 41% increased cotton stocks and 32% reduced cotton inventories.

Among them, the purchasing quantity of large enterprises increased significantly, and small and medium-sized enterprises were limited by funds and orders, and the quantity of cotton purchases increased little.

The production of yarn in December was 2.57% higher than that of last month.

Among them, the percentage of pure cotton yarn decreased by 0.7 percentage points compared to November, and the proportion of blended yarn increased by 0.55 percentage points compared to November.

Xinjiang cotton used by surveyed enterprises accounted for 45.25% of total cotton, an increase of 3.58 percentage points over November.

The proportion of imported cotton was 32.93%, a decrease of 2.42 percentage points from the previous month.

Yarn sales decreased by 1.16% compared with November, and inventories increased from last month.

The yarn inventory of the investigated enterprises was 20.35 days, an increase of 0.38 days from last month.

According to customs statistics, in December 2014, China exported about 25 billion 674 million US dollars in textile and clothing, a decrease of 1.24% compared with the same period last year. In 2014, China's textile and apparel exports totaled 298 billion 491 million US dollars, an increase of 1 billion 442 million US dollars compared with the same period last year, an increase of 5.08% over the same period last year, an increase of 6.33 percentage points lower than that in 2013.

Five, enterprises pay attention to cotton quality

Enterprises reflect that the quality of cotton has improved this year, but the shortage of three silk and yarn strength of Xinjiang cotton still troubles the production of high-end products.

The official said that because of the small number of factors affecting production efficiency, they would not accept.

It is understood that due to the reduction of orders, the company had to lay off workers. In November last year, there were more than 80 workers, and now there are only more than 50 people left.

Clothing companies also believe that the reduction of export orders and the appreciation of the RMB in the earlier period and the weakening of the international market economy environment, "the pressure of inventory on foreign customers is very large now, and many customers dare not place too much orders."

Cui Ning, manager of the business department of Qingdao Huarui Textile Group, said that the factory not only received fewer orders, but also reduced the production volume of each order by about half.

Cui Ning said that the continued appreciation of the RMB last year is not conducive to export enterprises. In addition, due to the increase in domestic labor costs, many foreign customers have begun to shift to India, Vietnam, Bangladesh and other Southeast Asian countries.
