Columbia Shoe Industry Regrets Ecuador'S Import Tariff Increase.

Luis Gustavo Florez, chairman of the footwear industry and leather goods association, chairman Acicam, expressed concern about raising tariff rates on imports in neighboring Ecuador, because products covered by high tariff rates include shoes and leather goods.

Ecuador President Rafael Correa has launched a new tariff rate of 21% for imported products since January 15th.
