Jiangsu'S Foreign Trade Volume Growth Rate "Slow Climb" For Three Consecutive Years Less Than 2%

"In the past three years, the growth rate of foreign trade in Jiangsu has been below 2%", according to customs workers, the "slow climb" trend of foreign trade growth in the province has gradually settled and stabilized.

On the list of China's foreign trade, Jiangsu occupies second in twelve consecutive years and accounts for 1/7 of China's total foreign trade.

According to Nanjing customs statistics, after China's accession to the WTO, Jiangsu entered a period of rapid development of foreign trade. From 2001 to 2007, its foreign trade grew at an average annual rate of 37.7%. After the international financial crisis, from 2008 to 2014, the average annual growth rate of foreign trade jumped to 6.2%.

According to customs statistics, in 2014, Jiangsu realized the scale of general trade import and export in the history of the province for the first time since China's accession to the WTO.

At the same time, the export of portable computers, integrated circuits and LCD panels decreased, and the export of steel and solar cells increased significantly.

"The period of pition and upgrading is likely to undermine the growth rate of normal production and trade, which will be a long-term process."

In Kunshan, for example, Kunshan has undertaken a large number of orders for mobile phones and e-readers in the existing field of foundry, and is gradually forming an industrial chain with liquid crystal as its core.

Many customs workers believe that perhaps the new trade format will become a new breakthrough in the growth of foreign trade.

Tang Renjun said that Suzhou's cross-border trade e-commerce will be promoted, the import trading center with network functions and Nantong will be built.

"Market procurement" trade mode pilot, Taiwan import trade and business platform, are all the new ways to drive foreign trade in the future.
