At that time, the main winding heads of Bama were 4, 6 and 8, and in 2014, the newly developed POY technology had 10 heads and 12 heads.     Data show that in 1994~2014, through the continuous progress of technology, the consumption of electricity per ton of POY technology has been continuously reduced by about 30%. The energy saving of FDY technology is even more obvious. During the 1994~2014 period, the energy consumption of FDY exceeded 55%.

    In addition to the significant effect of reducing energy consumption, the latest POY and FDY technologies also greatly reduce the land area. At present, the cost of land in China is very high. The less land occupied by the yarn producing the same output, the more beneficial it is. This is also a way to increase the competitiveness of enterprises. Among them, the latest 24 technology of FDY can help enterprises save land 61%, and POY technology land savings can reach 45%.

    At present, the use of 1/3 chemical fiber production equipment in China is still old technology. If we can further reduce this proportion and replace old equipment with more new equipment and technology, we can greatly reduce land use and reduce energy consumption. Georg Stausberg made a comparison. He said that in the past few years, orrican has been committed to the replacement of new technologies. If the latest products are used to replace Ou Ruikang's earlier products, the annual energy consumption will be reduced by 78 thousand megawatts and the carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced by 42 thousand tons. Another problem is the energy and water consumption in the textile value chain, as well as the problem of wastewater pollution. In particular, the printing and dyeing equipment has become the focus of attention of the government due to water pollution.     Georg Stausberg pointed out that the development of new technology is changing rapidly. Maybe 5 years later, FDY and POY technology will be further improved in terms of energy consumption and land occupation.
