Prada Holds A New Exhibition In Venice In The Same Period
At the opening of the new exhibition hall in Milan, the modern art intervention works created by Andrea Sorominski (Andreas Slominski), "the birth of books as a natural spirit" (Die Geburt des Buches aus DEM Geiste der Natur), are also exhibited to the public.
In the room adjacent to the children's Research Institute, the German artist created the installation works, showing the future purpose of the space through multiple hints, namely, becoming a foundation library.
Works of art intervention include sculptures of "Himmel" and "Erde", common overturned shelves and mobile toilets at construction sites, and a group of 16 paintings.
The new Milan Pavilion of the Prada foundation was opened to the public in May 9, 2015.
In conjunction with the Milan Pavilion, the foundation's Venice Pavilion continues to exhibit at the Ca'Corner della Regina in eighteenth Century and a new exhibition on the same day.
The Milan pavilion construction project is conceived by OMA, led by Rem Koolhaas (Rem Koolhaas), which fully extends the architectural typology of space to display works of art and share with the public.
The new pavilion adopts a combined building structure to combine the seven existing buildings with three new structures -- platform (Podium), cinema (Cinema) and tower (Torre).
The new pavilion was rebuilt from a brewery built in 1910s.
There are two kinds of projects that OMA conceived: the protection of old buildings and the creation of new buildings; the two buildings are independent of each other, and they are opposed to each other in continuous interaction.
The building is located in Largo Isarco, southern Milan, with a total area of 19000 square meters /205000 square feet.
The tower is currently under construction and will be open to the public later.
Prada
The foundation, founded in 1993, devoted itself to organizing modern art exhibitions and architectural, film and philosophical projects, thus becoming an outpost for interpreting contemporary spirit.
The space of the new exhibition hall is diverse, and it helps to develop experimental inspiring projects. Here, different languages and disciplines are independent and harmonious coexistence, constantly enlightening wisdom and promoting cultural development.
This building explores different interests and research projects through flexible means, and takes "culture as an effective knowledge and learning tool" as the basic concept.
The Prada foundation adopts an open structure. Its project is the result of the conceptual collision between different departments of the foundation. It is coordinated by Astrid Welter (Astrid Welter), Mario Menati (Mario Mainetti), Alessia Salerno (Alessia Salerno) and the ideological Council (Thought Council). The Council of thought is founded by Shumon Passard (Shumon Basar), Nicholas Cullinan (Cedric Ribot) and Cedric Ribot (E). Its members are changing over time, and Elvin di Agani Os (Thought) and Agani Os (Mario) joined in May.
The exhibition "Serial Classic" (Milan, May 9, 2015 - August 24th) and the "Portable Classic" (Venice, May 9, 2015 September 13th) are conceived by Salvatore Setis (Salvatore Settis), and will be the perfect combination of the two pavilions of the foundation this summer.
The two exhibitions were designed by OMA to display the continuous themes, display the replica of classic works, and the miniature replica of the Greek Rome statue from the Renaissance to neoclassicism.
The exhibition "continuous classics", jointly planned by Salvatore Setis and Anna Anguissola (Anna Anguissola), was held in Milan from May 9, 2015 to August 24th, covering two floors in the "platform" building.
The "continuous classic" focuses on classical sculpture, explores the contradictory relationship between originality and imitation in Rome culture, and the advocacy of Rome culture for the propagation of reproductions as a tribute to Greek art.
We tend to associate the concept of "classic" with "uniqueness", but in the late Republic of Rome and throughout the Empire era, the reproduction of excellent classical works is more important than any other era in Western art history.
The exhibition will display more than 70 pieces of art, in-depth analysis of the lost original works and its replicas, represented by the two famous series of "Discobolus" and "Crouching Crouching".
Two other important display spaces are used to show the material and color of classic bronze and marble works.
For example, through the two recently completed plaster models, we show "Kassel" (Cassel Apollo Apollo) to reproduce the bronze surface of the lost Greek original and the color of Rome's Marble replica.
Another part of the exhibition hall shows the techniques and methods used in the production of reproductions, showing two important stages, namely, the manufacture of gypsum models and the pformation and measurement of the proportion of new Dali stones.
The exhibition also includes two famous works series, namely the "Pene Nor Per" (Penelope) and the "Caryatides", which are based on the Greek shrine.
The "mobile classics" exhibition was co sponsored by Salvador Setis and David Gaspalot (Davide Gasparotto) and was held in Venice from May 9, 2015 to September 13th.
The "mobile classic" exhibition explores the origins and functions of reduced copies of classical sculpture, displaying more than 80 pieces of art in the first and two floors of Queen's palace in Venice.
A series of excellent sculptures emerged in ancient Rome and modern Europe, and were recognized as the undisputed peak period in specific topic areas.
These works are widely known, and because almost impossible to obtain authentic works, knowledgeable audiences often admire their reproductions, including small reproductions.
Farnese Hercules is an example of this 317 centimeter plaster model, which is displayed with a series of miniature replicas, which are made of marble, bronze and tile, ranging from 15 to 130 centimeters.
Part of the classic small masterpieces are exhibited with Renaissance reproductions, including Marsyas (Ignudo / della paura) and "Crouching Venus".
Another exhibition hall is used to display important collections of art since 1500s.
The exhibition also includes selected paintings of Lorenzo Lotto (Lorenzo Lotto), Tintoretto (Tintoretto) and Sanbernardino Lucinio (Bernardino Licinio), which depict classical sculptures and plaster models from private collections of painters.
From the famous "Belvedere Baer" (Torso Laoco) to "Laoco hole", the exhibition also shows how the Renaissance artists used small reproductions to express the endless conjecture of the missing parts of the classic works.
The foundation's Milan Pavilion hosts three different events.
Exhibition project
Prada collection (Collezione Prada) is used as research and investigation tool.
The Sud gallery and the "Deposito" part of the large warehouse located on the west side of the building are used to hold an exhibition called An Introduction, displaying more than 70 works from May 9, 2015 to January 10, 2016.
For these works with outstanding personal and public status, the exhibition shows the public's research and love for them, and explores the curiosity, impulsion and longing for the creation of the series of works and foundations.
From the new dada doctrine to minimalism, the exhibition, starting with the art circles in the 1970s, exhibits the works of Walter de De (Walter De Maria), Eve Klein (Yves Klein), Piero Manzoni (Piero Manzoni), Donald Jade (Donald Judd) and Barnett Newman (Barnett Newman).
Through the works of Pino Pascali (Pino Pascali) and Edward Chinoz (Edward Kienholz), the exhibition shows people's love for secular critical art.
It also shows the studiolo at the end of the fifteenth Century, symbolizing the continuation of knowledge in the long history.
From William Copley (William N. Copley) to Lucio Fontana (Lucio Fontana), from Mario Schifano (Mario Schifano) to Jeff Koons (Jeff Koons), from Gerhard Richter (Gerhard Richter) to the "Mario Schifano", one of the galleries shows many.
Artist
His works show how personal views and passions are plated into works series, which are inspired by the diverse arts and cultural interests of the modern era.
The exhibition ends with a series of "artist cars", designed by Elmgreen&Dragset and Carsten Holler H Carsten ller, Rosemary Trockel (Rosemarie Trockel), Tobias Riberg (Tobias Rehberger), Green (Pasa Tino Piacentino), Sarah Lucas (Sarah Piacentino) and others to explore the intricate connection between real life and the artist's personal and artistic contributions, as well as the broader perspective of Foundation activities.
Since May 2015, Giannetta Ottilia Latis, a neurosurgical pediatrician, has been preparing for the children's Research Institute (Accademia Dei Bambini) in Milan for the same time as the new exhibition hall in Gianita Otilia Latis.
The design of the activity space was completed by 18 students from Cole Nationale Sup e rieure d'Architecture de Versailles, and was coordinated by Professor Cedric Ribot and Elias Gounon (Elias Guenoun).
The children's Institute, which serves children aged between four and ten, is an ideal venue for seminars and activities. These activities do not necessarily relate to foundation projects, promote dialogue between adults and children, and provide children with multiple creation and learning experiences.
The Institute provides a flexible multi-functional platform that combines six different venues with space allocation, including Palestra, Tavolo, studio, Museum (Museo), bedroom (Camera) and Theatre (Teatro).
