Chemical fiber products will usher in a new pattern.

Let's analyze the future development trend of the world's chemical fiber industry.

The world's chemical fiber industry is undergoing a new round of structural adjustment.

At the same time, the world economic environment is still complex, the huge fluctuation of raw material prices, the change of supply and demand relationship in the world textile industry chain and the change of fiber consumption structure pose new challenges to the future development of the chemical fiber industry. We can see that the survival environment of chemical fiber industry is undergoing profound changes.

At the twenty-first China International Chemical fiber conference held on 7~9 September, experts from Japan and Europe made in-depth analysis of the world fiber consumption structure change and supply and demand forecast.

Development of Japanese chemical fiber products to high added value

According to statistics from FiberOrganon and Japan Chemical Fiber Association, in 2013, the world's excess capacity of synthetic fiber was 19 million tons, and the proportion of excess capacity reached 26.4%.

It is estimated that by 2020, the world's actual demand for synthetic fiber will be 71 million 700 thousand tons, and the excess capacity will reach 21 million 700 thousand tons. The phenomenon of excess capacity is still obvious. The world's chemical fiber industry needs a shift from quantity to quality.

But it is worth noting that in 2013 ~2014, the proportion of overcapacity has dropped from 26% to 23%.

Ueda Eshi analyzed that when the economy develops to a certain extent, chemical fiber enterprises will turn products into high value-added products, such as "technical textiles" will be extremely important.

According to the data of FiberOrganon and Japan Chemical Fiber Association, in the chemical fiber market of the United States and Japan, the chemical fiber products are turning to the application field of high value-added products. Non fiber takes up more than 80% of the total amount of chemical fiber application.

In East Asia, in 2013, the amount of non chemical fiber used accounted for 55% of the total amount of chemical fiber application. It is estimated that by 2020, the amount of chemical fiber applied in the non use area will account for 63% of the total amount of chemical fiber application.

The upgrading of high value-added products will increase the demand for high performance and high functional fibers.

According to the Japanese team provided by the Fuji-Keizai team.

    Spin

The change of sales data of chemical fiber products at home and abroad shows that the consumption of Japanese high-performance fiber will increase from about 42 billion yen in 2012 to about 98 billion yen in 2020, and the sales of high performance fiber will also increase from 9 billion 400 million yen to 12 billion 800 million yen in this time period.

Faced with environmental problems such as global warming, pollution, water shortage and resource depletion, we should develop from energy conservation, new energy, air purification, sewage treatment, bio based fiber materials development, recyclable fiber materials development and so on.

At the same time, in order to further strengthen information exchange and cooperation between China and Japan and achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation, the two countries should make efforts to expand the Asian Free Trade Area in the future.

Output of European chemical fiber will be more balanced.

According to the statistics of the European Chemical Fiber Association, the output of world chemical fiber has been increasing. In 2004, the output of chemical fiber was 39 million 260 thousand tons, and in 2014, it increased rapidly to 66 million 5 thousand tons.

In 2014, China's chemical fiber production was 43 million 323 thousand tons, accounting for 66% of the world's total chemical fiber output, followed by Europe and India.

In the world's chemical fiber products, polyester production is increasing.

In 2004, the output of polyester was 24 million 400 thousand tons, accounting for 62% of the total chemical fiber. In 2014, the world's polyester production increased to 48 million 800 thousand tons, and the proportion increased to 74%.

In 2014, the production of polyester fiber accounted for 30% of the European chemical fiber products, nylon fiber output accounted for 12%, polyolefin fiber output accounted for 23%, and cellulose fiber production accounted for 16%.

According to experts, the output of European chemical fiber products will be more balanced.

According to Fr e d e ricVanHoute, director of the European chemical fiber alliance, Europe's economic growth in recent years is still weak and has an impact on the textile sector.

In the field of European textiles, the growth of automotive textiles is better; the field of clothing is difficult because of the strong import growth; the overall growth of construction textiles is slow.

In 2015, the slow economic growth in Europe meant that the chemical fiber market would have opportunities for continuous improvement. At the same time, low crude oil prices and unstable raw materials also posed challenges to fiber producers.

At present, the capacity of chemical fiber production in Europe has been adjusted, but there will be different reconstruction along with the market changes. The differentiated fiber products related to the green economy are also developing.

At present, European countries attach great importance to the investment and modernization of chemical fiber industry. It is estimated that the growth of chemical fiber products will be more balanced in 2016.

At present, the European chemical fiber market is facing the challenges of overcapacity, dumping, subsidies and trade distortions.

To meet these challenges, chemical fiber producers need to use policies and regulations to protect their own interests. At the same time, European countries need to establish more stringent legislative frameworks, such as further anti-dumping and countervailing measures.

In order to further improve the quality of products, European chemical fiber producers invested more than 1 billion euros in 5 years to carry out the innovation of chemical fiber products.

Innovative areas mainly focus on improving fiber and yarn comfort, giving fiber and yarn more excellent mechanical properties and functions, recycling fiber and other aspects.

At the same time, European chemical fiber producers rely on good quality management and standards to produce high quality fibers. European technology standards and testing methods will continue to support industrial development.
