Intel Hand In Hand With Fashion Designer To Introduce Deformable Sports Underwear
Becca McCharen, President of fashion brand Chromat, has come up with a way to make unfit and uncomfortable underwear fit and fit. Instead of fitting back and forth, underwear is adapted to the body, just like a web page that is as simple and automatic as mobile phone and computer.
McCharen has her own vision for the future fashion. She said: "I want to see in the future that everyone can get their body shape data through body scan, and then buy the materials they bought to print, or customize clothes that are suitable for their own body by other ways.
You can also use technology to test your mood and how your body responds to the deformation of clothes.
McCharen and Intel have launched two casual clothes in the fashion week of New York. The difference between them is that they are small electronic devices. They show us what amazing things are about the integration of technology and clothing.
Intel's ambition is more than just clothes. Ayse Ildeniz, who is responsible for the development of new equipment, said: "wearable devices will make people's lives colorful and they can be applied to every aspect of life."
Chromat's two outfit will make new and innovative use of known technology.
Functional sports underwear can adjust itself according to the sweat, breathing and temperature of the wearer, so that the wearer is in the most comfortable state at all times. The 3D printed carbon fiber dress can be changed according to the epinephrine level of the wearer.
McCharen said, "I think of Chromat as a body lab, and the clothes I design are the body's scaffolding."
Because underwear is the most closely fitting dress with the female body, McCharen spent a lot of time thinking about the possible changes in the form of women's underwear (such as Bionic LED Bra), and because of this, it has also become a very suitable type of clothing for technical experiments.
Underwear can catch and read more body information because it is close to the skin. It is a bioinformatics reader, so many people are working hard on underwear to make it a smart wearable device.
For many women, finding a perfectly suitable underwear is almost impossible, because everyone's size will vary greatly, and the manufacturer's products are batch and scale production, not everyone can find the right size.
McCharen has thought of many ways to make underwear really skin friendly and comfortable. For this purpose, she embedded Intel's Curie digital module which was not yet sold into Aeros underwear.
Underwear fabrics include Lycra, neoprene, reticulated fabrics and 3D printed carbon fiber scaffolds. It can sense heat and sweat, and open the air outlet when the body temperature rises, so that the wearers are more cool.
Just like in a car, when the temperature rises to a certain extent, you will open windows and breathe freely. This underwear is a breathable breathing underwear, and is not afraid of breasts.
As for another product, Adrenaline Dress works similarly, but adds emotional expression to technology.
This garment structure will show a clear hourglass pattern when the wearer's mood is high, using 3D printing technology, logic and Curie components.
But in this dress, the creativity of Curie can be brought into full play.
Although this dress may require experimentation in appearance, Aeros underwear has reached the standard of finished products, and this year it will be available to women wearing streets and lanes.
Ildeniz of Intel said, "we are still in the exploratory stage. Although the virgin show has passed the passing standard in our industry, it is more experimental.
This exhibition only proves that our concept can be realized. "
McCharen gave her views from the designer's point of view. The next step to integrate technology into everyday wear is to use flexible materials.
Materials must be flexible and electronics, such as chips and welding, too rigid and rigid.
But these can not stop her design. She claims to like to be a mad scientist and come up with all kinds of crazy new ideas.
