Hussein Chalayan Will Join Vionnet
Vionnet, who has just opened shop in Paris, has appointed Hussein Chalayan as a member of its senior garment creative team.
Chalayan will work with the brand owner and creative director Goga Ashkenazi to design advanced garments, and join the Albino D 'Amato and Diego Dolcin's brand senior design team.
Paris, France -- Hussein Chalayan has been modeling for Bj rk and Lady Gaga. His clothes are full of treacherous thoughts and appear in art exhibitions and contemporary ballet performances for many times.
The creative designer will soon join Vionnet, one of the oldest fashion houses in Paris.
Chalayan will work with the brand owner and creative director Goga Ashkenazi to design advanced garments, and join the Albino D 'Amato and Diego Dolcin's brand senior design team.
"For a long time, I appreciate Hussein's design works very much.
For me, he is an artist, not just a designer.
To a certain extent, his creative style has a strong architectural style, which coincides with the iconic style of Vionnet.
Through this way of creation, he presented the design of a piece of art to the world.
Ashkenazi, a businesswoman in Kazakhstan, said she started her career in energy and construction and became a billionaire.
In 2014, Ashkenazi hired Chalayan to serve as a designer of Vionnet semi custom product line. Semi custom clothing was designed with the same sophisticated and sophisticated handicraft design as advanced customization, but it was "ready to get" and had its matching price.
The brand ceased to release its high fashion week. According to Ashkenazi, this is because "the funds are tight, and the fashion series is not budgetary."
But the brand's semi custom series continues to be produced and displayed to customers in an open way.
Chalayan said, "most of the semi custom series I was responsible for were evening wear.
Now I can take part in the wider design.
Advanced garments are more varied.
It's not only evening wear, but also custom made and other kinds.
A radical fashion genius like Chalayan will have to face the challenge of joining Vionnet's historic fashion house.
"While respecting Vionnet and all the things that make the brand famous, we also need to make the brand more attractive to modern women. The boundaries between them are really subtle."
He said, "it is necessary to restore ancient ways, not to be old-fashioned, nor to bring elements that are completely opposed to Vionnet".
Ashkenazi assured us that the new series to be released in Paris fashion week will contain many surprises: "this season's fashion is very smooth and mobile.
Each of us has adjusted his original taste and creativity.
The main line of Vionnet you will see will not have Hussein, Goga or anyone's shadow.
We show our respect for brand tradition.
"I believe a lot of people will contribute to Vionnet, but they will not subvert the brand tradition," Ashkenazi added. "Their talents are adding value to the brand rather than replacing the original value of the brand."
She hinted that the brand will continue to expand the Vionnet designers.
In the past, Vionnet has changed hands many times: the founder of Madeleine Vionnet closed the fashion house in the late 30s, the brand entered the quiet period; in 1988, the De Lummen family bought Vionnet; about 15 years later, Arnaud de Lummen began to launch new products; in 2008, De Lummen sold the brand to the Italy textile family; in 2012, the brand was founded for 100 years, and the brand was purchased from the department store.
This year, Chalayan has just celebrated the creation of 21st anniversary of its personal brand, and has been awarded the best designer of the British Fashion Council for two times. He enjoys the reputation of "focusing on concept more than business" in the industry, and has attracted the attention of the global media with its fantastic design works, which occupies a special position between the boundaries of fashion and art.

His designs have brought him into the new field of design.
Chalayan previously served as the creative director of several brands such as TSE, Asprey and Puma.
This time he served in Vionnet, not the traditional powerful leader.

"Goga is the creative director of brand, and also the brand owner.
All of us will contribute to the visual creativity of the brand. "
Chalayan said, "I will try my best to introduce new ideas to make others work more integrated, but they will not conflict with Vionnet's creative language.
My role is to inject some fresh blood and maintain harmony with everyone's creativity.
"For me, the most important thing is Madeleine Vionnet," Ashkenazi added. "I am just like she is holding high the banner of advancement in brand development.
Making Vionnet return to the throne deserved is the goal that I have spent all my life trying to achieve.
I will be responsible for the brand line.
Ashkenazi continued, "but I like to think of the team as a big family.
All of us will sit together and draw pictures.
Then exchange design sketches and comments.
We do not just get together for the sake of running companies, but also for our common enthusiasm.

The key nodes of Vionnet have been trampled on.
The brand store in Paris just opened a few weeks ago. It's located at Rue Francois 1er, and it is Chanel and Louis Vuitton flagship store in Paris.
Next, Ashkenazi also hopes that New York stores can open business before Christmas.
The brand is working with a number of potential franchising partners to discuss new product categories, including eyeglasses and perfume products.
The brand 2015 autumn winter series is currently on sale at more than 100 sales outlets worldwide.
"Our retail expansion is just beginning," he said.
In Asia, we have just opened dozens of new stores, but Asia is one of the highlights of our market.
I am also considering the location of London stores.

Meanwhile, Chalayan's personal brand new London store has just opened and is located at Bourdon Street, Mayfair.
In 2008, he sold the main shares of the brand to Puma and bought the brand back in 2010.
Speaking of how to balance the role of the two brands, Chalayan said: "if I join a brand, I will treat it as my own brand."
Of course, I will spend a lot of time on my brand, but in any case, I will do well in my work.
