Xinjiang Yuli County Lost 638.8 Yuan Net Profit Per Mu, Cotton Farmers' Income Plunged

According to the latest survey by the development and Reform Commission of Yuli County, in 2015, the cost of cotton planting in the county was 2336.92 yuan per mu, which was 16.4% lower than that in 2014.

Output value totaled 1698.12 yuan per mu, 13.9% less than last year, net profit per mu -638.8 yuan, an increase of 22.4% over last year.

The survey started in mid 11 2015, and a total of 12 cotton growers in 4 townships (3 of them were planted on a large scale) were interviewed.

Yuli County is one of the main cotton producing counties in Xinjiang. In 2015, the county cotton planting area was 1 million 169 thousand and 400 mu, accounting for 94% of the sown area of all kinds of crops.

Cotton is expected to yield 130 kilograms per unit and its total output will reach 152 thousand tons.

According to the survey, the reasons for the decrease of cotton planting cost in the county are, on the one hand, that the cotton climate is suitable during spring ploughing, and there is no big natural calamity and the family labor is reduced.

However, affected by the continuous high temperature in mid and late 7 months, the cotton yield per unit area decreased and the cost of picking up flowers decreased correspondingly.

On the other hand, because of the decline in cotton yields in 2014, the price reduction of cotton target prices in 2015 and the lack of water, the price of cotton land circulation in 2015 declined.

From this year's purchase price level, cotton purchasing enterprises are very cautious, and cotton purchasing price presents a trend of "low opening and low walking".

The average price of the purchase price is around 5.4 yuan / kg, compared with last year, 0.6 yuan per kilogram.

In 2015, cotton target price was converted to seed cotton per kg, which was about 0.28 yuan lower than last year.

The survey shows that the average selling price of lint cotton is 11.06 yuan / kg, which is 12.8% lower than that of last year. The average output value of Mu is 1698.12 yuan, and the output value of Mu is 13.9% lower than that of last year.
