Color fastness, pH value and formaldehyde content exceeding standard were the main reasons for the failure of imported textile and garment products in 2015. The total three accounted for 79.5%, while other unqualified reasons included incorrect marking or missing of safety label labels, containing banned decomposable aromatic amine dyes and unqualified fiber components, which accounted for 20.5% of the total.
Italy, China, Turkey, India, Bangladesh and the United States were the main sources of imported textile and apparel products which failed to import in 2015, and the six countries contributed 60% of the unqualified rate.
Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen were the main entry ports for importing unqualified industrial textiles and clothing products in 2015. The total number of the three places accounted for 85%. The inspection and quarantine institutions at the relevant ports should pay attention to the risk control.
