Why Is London Fashion Week So Popular?

This season is the first London Fashion week since 2010, from London to Wang Haizhen, the first show of Antonio Berardi moved back from London to Milan, and to the Chinese designer, Antonio.

After winning the first prize in the London Fashion week for the first time, I went to the London Fashion week to see shows or interviews. I had a deep feeling for London Fashion week.

Maybe you would say that fashion week should not be concerned with clothes. London has good clothes.

However, what is the purpose of the fashion week? Actually, it sells goods.

In the fashion week, the ground floor gas is actually a dynamic, cool and compacting clothing exhibition. If the art is creative again, it will not become a sales volume. If the designer has no money to make money, it will not have an egg.

As a result, in London Fashion Week, except for a few rich brands such as Burberry, most of them were concentrated in the unified venue of British Fashion Council.

Since the show didn't have the money to be cool and unable to earn the call, it didn't bring much sales, so most brands in London chose static display (or direct showroom).

This is a vicious circle.

As a result, a lot of London brands show up after the London Fashion week. The group takes the train to Paris for showroom, because there are many buyers there, so they can receive more single quantities.

As everyone knows

There are two areas attracting the world's top talent: financial and creative industries.

There is no need to say more about finance, the establishment of many business rules in the world, the gathering of top business schools and ACCA, CIMA, and even the "City" in the city of London, which is the paradise of bankers.

On the other hand, University of the Arts in London, Royal College of Art and other art schools are constantly sending world-class creative talents to the world, all of whom are artists with big holes.

Unfortunately, because they are too extreme, they ignore each other.

I graduated from University of the Arts in London, and I have studied at London Business School. In my experience, there is hardly any intersection between them.

People who invest in finance have little interest in the traditional garment industry which is not high enough in the rate of profit conversion, while the designers who are labeled "artists" lack commercial operation experience on the one hand, and despise "lowering their grades" on the other hand.

Combination.

Without money, the London Fashion week would not fire.

So, similarly, is the clothing brand, why the British brand is so money? Fashion, in the final analysis is the commodity, but the proud British people, but it has been respected as a work of art.

Works of art can be sold without clothes, but not on clothes.

It is also a brand that starts from a small workshop alone, and now the Italy or French brands that are thrived are either belong to a luxury group or become a luxury group themselves. The internal resources and professional management and operation teams brought by the group are often more supportive than the funds invested.

I am not saying that all brands must join these consortia. However, having a professional business operation team is more important than the excellent creative design for the current British brand.

Britain needs more masters like Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey, who can perfectly integrate design with commerce and conform to the needs of modern society.

As a spectator, we occasionally make a literary and artistic heart, sigh, craftsman spirit loss, indignant and unrestrained, creative design, which is changed by the big conglomerates, but not buying a product that is "amazing to you".
