Shanghai Jiaotong University Successfully Developed Recycling Technology For Carbon Fiber Composite Waste

Jiaotong University announced that Yang Bin, associate professor of chemistry and Chemical Engineering School of the school, has successfully developed the first domestic carbon with complete independent intellectual property rights after 5 years of technical research.

The technology and equipment of composite material recovery have reached the international advanced level, filling the blank of this field in China.

Compared with the advanced technology of the world, the technology can retain the large size before waste treatment, so that the process of waste cutting and grinding is eliminated. More importantly, the length of recycled carbon fiber is maintained, and the value of carbon fiber reuse is improved.

Through the key research and demonstration of the China Automotive Technology Research Center, the technology, as the only recycling technology of carbon fiber composite materials in China, has been added to the industry standard of the "general checklist of reusable and recyclable materials for automobile materials", which has been verified in 2015.

The application provides the necessary legislative basis.
