Staff launched a strike on 25 March to protest the recent promotion of the new human capital management system by the factory, with about 17 thousand participants.
Baocheng decided to abolish the personnel management system, and agreed to pay the factory staff for 3 days' strike, hoping to return to work tomorrow.
Baocheng, a 17 thousand employee in the Dong and Nai Bienhoa factory in southern Vietnam, went on strike for third days yesterday. Local authorities and factories are negotiating to resolve the problem and actively communicate with trade unions and employees, hoping that the strike will soon subside.
According to reports, Baocheng Vietnam factory announced on 18 th that the new system of personnel management should be promoted, and staff working hours should be prescribed as the assessment bonus.
Employees feel that this new regulation is too strict. The company even takes the legal leave of employees into the condition of assessing performance, which is unreasonable and will make the workers suffer losses.
Workers launched a strike on the afternoon of 25, and gathered outside the factory to protest. The number of people continued to increase, about 17 thousand people, leading to the blockage of main roads outside the factory, and the factory also announced a shutdown.
As of yesterday, the strike has not subsided.
The report pointed out that after meeting with relevant departments of Tong Nai, Bao Cheng announced that he would abolish the management system of human capital.
Trade union led strikes are illegal in Vietnam, and wages will not be paid during the strike.
Bao Cheng decided to give in and agreed to pay 3 days' strike salary, hoping that the production line would resume normal operation tomorrow.
Today is Sunday. Whether employees are off duty, whether their attitude is softened and whether the company can resume production tomorrow remains to be seen.
