Tmall 2016 Will Implement Double Import Channels

General manager Liu Peng announced that the import strategy of Ali will be upgraded in an all-round way this year. Tmall international will join hands with Tmall to explore and upgrade strategic cooperation with global businesses through global direct supply, overseas direct operation, and full channel distribution system under the general trade import mode.
According to Liu Peng, in 2016, Tmall international conference explored innovative solutions such as global direct supply, overseas direct sales and all channel distribution through the four new channels, which are "expanding trade, brand building, developing distribution, and buying the official website".

Under the big import strategy of the group, in 2016, Tmall International Council persisted in exploring cross-border O2O, official website and shopping mode under the mode of cross border import, and introduced more retail formats of global supermarkets, department stores and vertical platforms.
It is reported that Tmall hopes to provide full link services to businesses through cross-border import and general trade import dual access, and help global businesses, especially small and medium-sized businesses, to enter the Chinese market.

In addition, according to the data disclosed by Alibaba group, the third quarter of fiscal year 2016, Tmall International Year's turnover increased by 179% over the same period. The whole year introduced more than 2000 categories and 5400 overseas brands of 53 popular importing countries, of which 80% overseas brands were the first to enter the Chinese market.
