Wuhan Quality Supervision Bureau issued a safety risk warning for children's car textile on its official website. Among the 20 samples collected, 30% formaldehyde content exceeded the standard.
Children's cars are vehicles used by children. People may only pay attention to the quality and safety of children's cars, and neglect the chronic damage caused by their textile fabrics to infants and young children. Some injuries may seriously harm children's physical and mental health and use safety. Therefore, Wuhan Quality Supervision Bureau has carried out quality and safety risk monitoring for children's car fabrics sold on the market.
This article mainly monitors the risk of formaldehyde in children's car fabrics.
A total of 20 samples were collected from physical stores (wholesale markets, supermarkets, shopping malls counters) and online stores (Taobao, Tmall mall, Jingdong mall). The formaldehyde content detection method is in accordance with the national standard GB/T2912.1-2009.

The first part of formaldehyde determination is carried out by free and hydrolyzed formaldehyde (water extraction method), and is based on whether it meets the requirements of category GB18401-2010 in the national basic safety technical specification for textile products.
After testing, 6 products exceeded the standard formaldehyde content.

Baby products, Hebao, San Le, Flykids, Xing Baole, Jin Ming, these substandard products mainly come from online stores.

The Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau recommends the selection of products produced by regular manufacturers. The products should have relevant information such as factory name, factory name, brand name, trademark, instruction manual, execution standard and so on. If conditions permit, the baby carrier fabric will be removed and cleaned before being used. During the use process, try to prevent the baby from biting and tearing the fabric with its mouth.
Formaldehyde is a volatile compound. It is usually used as a synthetic reagent for crease and shrink proofing agents. It is also used in synthetic fixative, waterproofing agent, softener, adhesive, etc.
Formaldehyde is irritating, and a small amount of formaldehyde stimulates human eyes, skin and mucous membranes, causing skin allergic reactions. Excessive formaldehyde can cause inflammation of mucous membranes and respiratory tract, and can also cause dermatitis.

Recently, the Chongqing quality and Technology Supervision Bureau announced 2015 Chongqing bedding quality supervision and spot checks on its official website, with a pass rate of 91.9%.
In 2015, the Chongqing City Bureau of inspection and quarantine inspected 104 production enterprises, 46 Hotel guesthouses, 30 kindergartens and 2 hospitals in 10 districts and counties of Shapingba, Yuzhong, Beibei, northern New District and Qijiang, and 320 batches of bedding products, including sheets, quilts, pillowcases, cotton padded clothes, air conditioning quilts and cotton pads.
After inspection, 294 batches of qualified, 26 unqualified batches, the pass rate of 91.9%, the main items are formaldehyde, pH value, color, shape and raw material requirements.
On file, 3 enterprises are punished according to the "product quality law", and the manufacturers concerned are ordered to make rectification.
Chongqing City Bureau of inspection and quarantine recommends that consumers should pay more attention to product instructions and labels when choosing bedclothes, bedclothes, pillowcases and other bedding.
