According to the national plan for deepening the integration of "two technologies", academician workstations have actively promoted the red dragonfly to enter the era of digital research and development and automated production, set up a "digital incubator center", and actively authenticated the path of "two fusion" of red dragonflies. The center of digitalization of red dragonfly has been identified, from the establishment of six large module databases to the virtual design ordering, and gradually through the digital solution, the implementation path of integration of information, development design, mass production, inventory and other links has been completed.

Academician Shi Bi raised the bottleneck of the demand for new leather materials, and put forward the idea of industrial cross-border cooperation. In early 2015, he led the Red Dragonfly academician workstation, and collaborate with the Chinese leather chemical industry leading enterprise, TSE Er chemical academy workstation. The two sides jointly developed in the aspects of process improvement, product development, environmental protection and so on.

Academician workstation focuses on innovation driven, aiming at the main business of the enterprise, giving full play to campus resources and undertaking innovative activities together with red dragonfly scientific and technological personnel: the national research project on healthy children's sports development, a Postdoctoral Science Fund involving children's shoes design, has been launched; the research and development plan of the functional leather shoes is advancing in an orderly way; on the basis of 6 provincial new products in 2015, a batch of new products will also be born in 2016.

In addition, under the leadership of the academician workstation team, red dragonfly has made full use of social resources to speed up the application of digital technology. Some patents were converted to mass production, resulting in considerable economic benefits.

In order to fully implement the concept of environmental protection, academician and expert team of Shi Bi set up the National Engineering Laboratory of clean leather technology in Sichuan University to develop eco friendly leather and break through the technical bottlenecks of harmful substances in leather.

Red Dragonfly actively cooperate with the development of eco friendly leather shoes. It not only highlights environmental protection on leather, but also strives for environmental protection in other materials such as synthetic leather, metal decorations, brighteners, cleaners and other materials, so as to prevent residues of harmful substances and produce environmentally friendly products in real sense.
