One is to directly select fibers with better UV resistance properties as raw materials to produce textiles, such as linen and polyester fiber; two, change the fabric's fabric structure, such as increasing the thickness and density of fabrics; three, add ceramic particles to reflect the ultraviolet rays when spinning the textile fibers, so as to achieve the effect of UV protection; four, finish the UV protection finishing of fabrics, such as coating the fabric with UV absorbers or blocking agents, or UV coating on the fabric surface.
However, these 4 processes have different degrees of defects in environmental protection, cost, product performance and durability. If not improved, they will become the burden of production in the near future.

After comparing the production process and the cost of industrial development comprehensively, Xu Jie believes that the electrospinning technology is the best way to enhance the ultraviolet resistance of textiles.
Xu Jie said that the UV shielding fabric produced by electrospinning technology has a shielding rate of over 95%, which can effectively prevent UV from invasion and damage to the human body, and is non-toxic, non irritating and washable.
At the same time, this kind of product has no irritation and allergy to skin, and has good moisture absorption and permeability.
The electrospinning processes that can be used to improve the UV protection properties of textiles can be divided into spray coating method and direct spinning method.
The spray coating method is to add ultraviolet shielding agent into the electrospinning fluid, spray it onto the fabric through electrospinning, and form a nanometer level anti ultraviolet film on the surface of the fabric, so as to achieve the anti ultraviolet effect.
The direct spinning method is to add UV resistant finishing agent into the electrospinning fluid, and directly produce fabric with anti ultraviolet effect.
Xu Jie said that the cost of the process is not the highest, except for the products that are prepared.
Wang Ran agreed with Xu Jie very much.
He said that although the industrialization of electrospinning technology needs to be improved, its market value is immeasurable, and researchers at Nanjing University of Technology and Tianjin University of Technology have made some breakthroughs in the key technology of electrospinning.
Wang Ran also said that when preparing UV resistant textiles through electrospinning, special attention should be paid to choosing suitable UV protection additives.
The selected additives need the ability to selectively absorb ultraviolet radiation with wavelengths of 290nm to 400nm, so that UV penetration can be effectively prevented and suppressed.
In addition, this kind of additive should also have the properties of low volatility, good thermal stability, water resistance, water resistance, and so on.
